Saddam Video of Body after Hanging (New 1-8-07)

The Drop Broke Saddam's neck killing him instantly. At the executions following the Nuremberg Trials others were not so lucky.

THE TRIAL OF THE CENTURY--AND OF ALL TIME, PART TWO

"..The executions, in a brightly lighted prison gymnasium where three looming black wooden gallows had been erected, were witnessed by a handful of Allied military officers and eight journalists, one of whom, Kingsbury Smith of International News Service, wrote a famous newspaper article, "The Execution of Nazi War Criminals, 16 October 1946," based on his eyewitness observations. Although Smith discreetly omitted mentioning it, the experienced Army hangman, Master Sgt. John C. Woods, botched the executions. A number of the hanged Nazis died, not quickly from a broken neck as intended, but agonizingly from slow strangulation. Ribbentrop and Sauckel each took 14 minutes to choke to death, while Keitel, whose death was the most painful, struggled for 24 minutes at the end of the rope before expiring..."

It's not MY choice; it's yours.

I'm voting Republican.

Are Harry and Nancy taking your calls now?

Don't forget, they showed raw footage of our soldiers being shot up.

and how they all sat home and got Jimmy Carter elected.

Which opened the way to the Reagan revolution.

It seems that sometimes the American voter has to swallow an ugly dose of Carter-style liberal stupidity and fecklessness to remember what real (conservative) leadership is like, and to seek it.

It was the so-called moderates who voted Carter into office.

Interesting contrast. Looks like there might be some kind of video on Fox now:

Is that all you've got?

Simpleton.

It is amazing how a robust campaign makes sentiments such as yours in time become inoperative. Few really act out their intentions to waste their vote or not vote, by failing to pick a real contender in a presidential election. We are all free to choose of course. That is our right. But in the end, most voters are Baysians. They parse the odds, and make their vote count. What is left are the truly indifferent or totally disaffected. They rarely amount to much in the vote count.

I can't believe it. The NY Times has a very long article on the brutalities of Saddam Hussein. It starts in: "The hanging death of Saddam Hussein tonight ended the life of one of the most brutal tyrants in recent history...The despot, known universally as Saddam, had oppressed Iraq for more than 30 years, unleashing devastating regional wars and reducing his once promising, oil-rich nation to a claustrophobic police state."

See it at: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/12/29/world/middleeast/saddamobit.html?hp&ex=1167454800&en=1d1af49cbc1eabb9&ei=5094&partner=homepage

I don't really want to get into this fight, however don't you think the pubbies let us down just a little?

Yes there were some let downs .. but not enough to put Pelosi and Reid in charge

A person has got to be nuts to think having them in charge of Congress is a good thing

Disgusting that they wouldn't admit that BEFORE he was executed. A little late to the party it seems.

Well, then don't vote for them.

Call Nancy and Harry, they'll listen, I'm sure.

You all need to learn the art of doing THE POSSIBLE.

It is a truism that politicians who refuse to compromise seldom win and hold on to office for the simple reason that the real world is complex and no two people will have entirely compatible sets of positions on the vast array of issues. Get the best you can and then work on refining your position later. All or nothing will usually get you nothing.

Happy New Year Howlin, and I gotta give you an Amen! I am so tired of the "purists" who are better conservatives than everyone else. It was just 14 years ago that attitude gave us Clinton.

You caught that too, huh?

Sometimes reality is so strong that it must acknowledged by all...even the delusional.

Don't kid yourself; one thing that the liberals do that conservatives don't is LEARN A LESSON.

We won't get any power back in our lifetimes. They are working hard this very minute to keep the power from us.

Don't be a fool and think we're going to get ANYTHING back for at least the next ten years; by that time, this country will be in the dumper.

Joe and Pat are two of my favorites. To paraphrase Reagan, I didn't leave the GOP . . . .

If you want to see Saddam being hung, look in the dictionary next to the definition of anticlimactic.

He should have been shot in his hole. But ultimately it makes no difference. The place has been FUBAR for so long now it's not funny. Only the Bushbots and the Pep Rally Psychos seriously believe there's still something to be gained from all of this.

According to Drudge, some media were very slow on the story:

CNN Broke at 10:06... FOX 10:08... NBC first broadcast net to report execution of Hussein at 10:14 pm, ET -- CBS went up at 10:18 -- ABC up at 10:25...

No, that is how the cut of your nose to spite your facers work. You and your ilk would rather have far worse than nothing you want, than most of what you want.

And that is NOT how a Representative Republic works at all. I suggest that you take the time to find out just HOW it does work.
