For more than a century and a half, men and women of The Associated Press have had the privilege of bringing truth to the world. They have gone to great lengths, overcome great obstacles and, too often, made great and horrific sacrifices to ensure that the news was reported quickly, accurately and honestly. Our efforts have been rewarded with trust: More people in more places get their news from the AP than from any other source.
In the 21st century, that news is transmitted in more ways than ever before in print, on the air and on the Web, with words, images, graphics, sounds and video. But always and in all media, we insist on the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior when we gather and deliver the news.
That means we abhor inaccuracies, carelessness, bias or distortions. It means we will not knowingly introduce false information into material intended for publication or broadcast; nor will we alter photo or image content. Quotations must be accurate, and precise.
If it's a list then it must be a darn short one....
FMCDH(BITS)
Got it from Google Images by searching with the search word "ROFL".
Hilarious.
Now I know where to go to get some great pics.
I wish I'd have kept it for posterity...one day this past November I observed an AP story about the potential of Clinton running for President having the Headline changed three times throughout the same day.
First headline included the names "Clinton and Bayh"
Second headline later in the morning read "Clinton and Rival"
Last headline in late afternoon that day read Clinton and something else entirely different from the previous two, but all three were the same AP story with the third slightly tweaked to accomodate the new point in the adjusted headline. Basically it was the third repost of the same article though.
My point being that somebody screwed up and put Bayh's name in the same headline with Clinton's thus had to be changed to "Rival". Somebody got in trouble with that one. Nobody shares a headline with Hillary unless approved by her or her handlers first. The AP obviously works hard to tell nothing but the truth as the DNC/Hillary provide it.
amen.
That is why this is such a laugh.
I started this ping. check the pics
During WWI.
I think it was variation on the German 13mm anti-tank round.
