Well, well, well. Sounds as if Speaker Pelosi wants to ruin 'bipartisanship' right from day 1. If she does this, she can kiss Republican co-operation goodbye. Perhaps that would be a good thing, I don't know. But she obviously covets this seat and is seriously pondering abusing her power to get it. Would you expect anything less from a godless San Francisco liberal?

At least she's trying to do something that dems are notoriously good at---cheating.

The Democrats are going to show the Republicans how to use political power.
They'll evenutally screw up, but they won't be DINOs.

The Republicans will do nothing, you know that as well as I do. They will be content with table scraps, invitation to a few golf matches, and an occasional pork project for their district. In return, they may make some noise, but it will be just that - noise. A real Party would shut down the House.

Okay! When the Senate Dims loose their majority of One when South Dakota Rep Gov names himself as the replacement then will see what gridlock really looks like.

and is seriously pondering abusing her power to get it. Would you expect anything less from a godless San Francisco liberal? She learned it from another CA Dem, Leon Panetta, the infamous "leave some votes at the bottom of the box" seating of a Dem over the GOP winner several years ago. These people have no shame, to claim it is some new tactic devised by Republicans this last decade or so every time the do something crooked or unethical now that they've done so many times previously.

Although I completely cannot fathom how Pelosi has the power to "decide" not to seat the state certified winning candidate, but I would say that if she does such a thing she'd better consider consequences should Senator Johnson be unable to return.
In fact, I hope she does deny the winner his seat.

I guess they figure every Republican win in a close election is really a win for the Democrats and should be treated as such.
These are really, really lowlife people!

The machines showed that more than 18,000 ballots were cast in Sarasota County without a choice in the congressional race an "undervote" rate 10 percent higher than in surrounding counties in the district. Jennings has sued machine manufacturer Election Systems & Software Inc. to gain access to machine programming source codes to determine whether they malfunctioned. A state audit of the machines has not produced evidence they malfunctioned.10% higher than surrounding counties. That doesn't seem statistically significant but I'm sure we can find a judge who will consider it significant.

Sounds as if Speaker Pelosi wants to ruin 'bipartisanship' right from day 1.To Democrats, the word "bipartisanship" means
An era of "good feeling" in Congress, during which Republicans meekly co-operate with the nastiest, most loud-mouthed, most left-leaning Democrats.

Steny Hoyer won't let her do it.
Always remember that Nancy Pelosi may be Speaker in name, but Steny is Speaker in fact.
From his perch as Majority Leader, he will control her every move. She will say anything she likes but Hoyer will control what she does.

How will she be able to do this? I know that the House can choose to seat new members or not, but she is not the Speaker until all the new House members are seated and she has a majority vote. Until then, Hastert is still the speaker. In other words, she won't be the Speaker until after Buchanan will already be seated.
