If our intelligence officials can't find leakers, then we're in deep doo doo

IMO .. Finding them isn't the issue .. it's prosecuting that is the problem because the government will have to hand over Intel info during Discovery

Though I can understand that point and the Feds not wanting to release that sensitive info .. it also sends a message that leaker's can leak anything they want and the Feds won't do anything about it

IMO .. that is sending a very dangerous message

It's incredible that leakers aren't outed and prosecuted. We're fighting a WOT and they can't find traitors amongst us. How disgusting and dangerous is that?

This means that some very important Democrats were at risk.

There's a fine line that's being played out, with the public stuck in the middle and I don't think there is a dang thing we can do about it

I think a strong case can be made that, owing to a litany of recent events, many are highly suspicious of the federal government in general and many politicians in specific. Many apare tired of seeing the establishment politicians and others get away with crimes over and again, major events covered up, Chinagate, Burglergate, Able Danger, TWA-800, etc. We are tired of being lied to and told wer're nuts or just ignored for even asking questions.

Disgustingly, in the next 24 months remaining in this administration, I don't look for either the President or Attorney General Rip Van Gonzalez to do anything productive about the traitors, spies, leakers and moles infesting the media and high levels of government.

The first duty of the President and the United States government is to protect our nation from external and internal enemies. The latter don't have to worry too much these days.......the New Tone shields them from arrests, indictments and the gallows.

"This means that some very important Democrats were at risk."

INDEED!!!

I just have a wee bit of trouble with the wording: "important Democrats"; a contradiction in terms!!

It's like having a million dollar yacht, where someone on the crew keeps drilling holes in the hull. A $5 drill turns your million dollar investment into junk, and puts everyone on board at risk.

Great analogy. I can relate to that ...

I agree with you on that. However, that's why I made the case about reading the article instead of just commenting on a single sentence.

I've been seeing more and more of that here lately. This forum takes rightful pride in the analytic ability of the majority of the posters. If we suddenly become lazy and take things that are written in the media at face value, then we'll lose the best tool for finding the truth on the internet.

They need to be identified and terminated before they can do any further damage.

Terminated? Prison for life is more like it.

President Bush really made a mistake when he failed to fumigate the NSA, CIA and FBI after he took office.

hahahahaha - it's still as rat-infested as ever, even under bush - and will continue to be so, even when he leaves

and all we peons can do is complain about it
