Yes, although a few may have originally been Reagan appointees.

Sandy Burgler was caught once stuffing documents down his pants etc., how many times had he done the same thing over a long period of time and got away with it?

Rockefeller yesterday was so sure of himself when he made the announcement that there was no records or connection to Atta before 9/11. Why was he so sure and confident about his statement?........he knows a hell of a lot more than what he's telling.....a hell of a lot more.

Security that has anything to do with the Clintons era and crimes against the USA and their cronies is so lax, why couldn't ex-FBI agents [i.e. members of the VIPS] or those still working there have just walked in and took or copied files since I'm sure their faces were well known to the clerks and wouldn't be questioned

Since we know there are moles still in the FBI, how many moles are in Gonzalez' dept?

Seems to me that while we still have a fragment of a country left there needs to be some heavy background checks done on everyone regardless how long they've been employed, with mega doses of truth serum used to everyone working in a critical position. I know that would never happen, too many would fight against it, but I see no other way to get answers to so many questions and put a stop to all these leaks that put all US citizens and our military in danger. It's got to the point where you can't trust anyone on DC anymore.

The article I linked described problems with computer technology, not counterintelligence.

That line of thought occurred to me. But my first guess would be that there are technical/bureaucratic problems with the transition from pre-computerized to computerized filing systems underlying this. The original FBI filing system was based on the Library of Congress' cataloging system. It was cutting-edge for its time, but it was before the dawn of computers and was not designed with computerized searching in mind, and the upgrade to a computerized filing system has been a bumpy ride.

Yes, I understand, fedora. But it is just another failure of the FBI.

Why is this so hard for people to understand? The President has to abide by the law

It's not that they don't understand it .. it's that they don't like it

I've had this argument with one of my brother's more times then I care to count

He also is mad that President Bush doesn't just sign EO's left and right to get things done and bypass Congress

When I point out to him that he wants a conservative version of Bill Clinton and not a President who follows the Constitution and the laws, he then proceeds to snap on me and says I'm putting words in his mouth

Well, if people want a monarch then they can just make me Queen. They won't like it though; I will run things MY way and I will insist on a dress code, no piercings, and traditional Christmas carols played with NO "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer."

And children will be taught MANNERS and I will have required reading!

So there!

Please get a grip on the real world, and learn to read between the lines of what nowadays passes for MSM "reporting".

Before you freak about "missing FBI files", perhaps you should question exactly what particular "files" were actually requested.

Are you looking for the FBI files on someone, just for example, such as myself?
Perhaps my stupid neighbors drunken college boyfriends who throw beer cans over my fence, reports me to the FBI as a possible terrorist, because I told them to stop throwing trash on my lawn.
The FBI looks into it, when they are bored and have the time, and decide my neighbors boyfriend is a jerk, and has just wasted valuable FBI time and resources to investigate an innocent citizen who moved next to bad neighbors.
How long do you think the FBI should have an open file on me?
Should you be able to procure a government produced FOIA file of malicious allegations, deemed wholeley unfounded, about me?

Just because the FBI looked at me once? LOL! The CIA routinely looks at me once every five years, just to make sure I have not turned to the bad side, but that was part of the deal. I rely on the FBI to keep the CIA off my former DIA back!

Image hosted by Photobucket.comeither you didn't read my post or i didn't make it clear enough so lets try it again... they said they were LOST!!!

the investigative files in 22 of those cases "are missing" and cannot be located. "There is no physical slip of paper on the shelf which indicates that the file has been charged out to a particular FBI employee, so therefore there is no way of knowing where the file may actually be..."

they admit they have NO SYSTEM to monitor who takes out files or when!!!

that is how they caught SANDYBURGER was by monitoring who had access to the documents.

it's THE SYSTEM of NO ACCOUNTABILITY i am upset with.

understand now??? even most of the companies i've worked for had better document security/retention systems than that.

It depends on who is filing the FOI requests and why.

LOL!
You are still assuming there are actual physical files to be found.
Should FBI/CIA/DIA/Xia files be maintained of unfounded accusations against legal citizens of the USA?
