Total Vanity.
Does anyone know of a the best or most reliable source to do a background check on people? I read from what looks like consumer reports that these 3 were the best...but I can't confirm if it is true since I can't confirm that it is a actually a consumer reports website. Beware of Online Background Checks"
Any recommendations on what site would be the best to purchase from for the most in depth search?
Thanks for any help.
You'll get a complete check for free.
Try: publicdata.com
A few more bucks... but if accuracy is important....
AND...you are able to hold these professionals to the "standard of care and service" commensurate with their licensing...
BTW... if you have contact with your "mark"... ask them some innocent and generic background questions as a matter of friendly curiosity....
This will give you some benchmarks against which to measure the results the licensed PI gathers in...
Jack is in a container in China....best to go the Zoe route.
I was contemplating a signup to the following for marketing purposes, not especially for bkgnd checks. It's fully guaranteed, staisfaction-wise. Beyond that, I have no personal experience with it. I never put much faith in testimonials, I mean geez, what are they gonna do, put somebody's comment on there that says "your site sucked!"?

Nevertheless, it seemed more credible than most I looked at.
Thanks all! I'll be looking at each one of those...
I hate to write this, but your lawyer can aim you at a reputable PI. They use them a lot.
how many do you have in mind and will this be on-going?
marriage records
and the exact phrase:
criminal records.
You'll get more than enough results. Most of them are pay services.
Bump for later
In Missouri we have case.net where you can look up any court case by many keywords. It is run by the government and very complete - I did a check on myself and found a speeding ticket from two years ago. I don't know if other states have similar systems.
Just have a need for a certain security clearance. The FBI will interview everybody you knew in the last 10 years and tell them all to bend over and spread 'em. You get a file in the NSA, FBI, CIA computers that say you are a good guy or girl. Everybody knows who you are. And that's good. That clearance is worth ~ $20K. There are some very hard aerospace engineering jobs to do, if you put the coffee cup down and put some clothes on:):):)
