Yeah, local TV news here in TX said the same thing - a 3.5 foot tsunami wave expected in the Philippines.
They also called the quake itself a 6.7 on Richter, rather than 7.2 - I wonder why that's exactly the same amount of discrepancy as in that last one.
Is it just me or does it seem like it is a trend to have major earthquakes just after Christmas?
The last big one here was just before Christmas.
No, I think it's a strange coincidence as well. That was the first thought that popped into my head. I hope it turns out to be a non-event. That is one scary part of the world. Typhoons, earthquakes, and tsunamis.

Per FNC: A 6.4 aftershock just occurred.

The world's tallest building is --right now--located on Taiwan.

No big deal.

some of the loony tuners will have you believe
My adoptive Mom was raised in Samar PI and used to tell me about the typhoons she exp. growing up and when the Japenese came and would shoot the place up.
Bothe incidents meant going way inland for protection.
Anyone know where in PI the tsanami is headed?
