Saw him at a "Where the Action Is" tour concert in 1966. What an awesome show!

This was just natures's way of telling the Godfather of Soul to slow down a little...He may make another comeback and return as the Guardian Angel of Soul and become the hardest working Angel in Heaven...

Photo

In a file photo singer James Brown, left, walks with his agent Rev. Al Sharpton from the White House in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 15, 1982. They met with President Reagan to advocate making Martin Luther King's birthday a national holiday. Brown, the dynamic, pompadoured 'Godfather of Soul,' whose rasping vocals and revolutionary rhythms made him a founder of rap, funk and disco as well, died early Monday, Dec. 25, 2006, his agent said. He was 73. (AP Photo/Scott Applewhite)

One of the first 45s I ever bought back in the '60s was 'Papa's Got a Brand New Bag'. I STILL love that song and turn up the radio when it comes on.

LOL..... James was the greatest.

I gotta tell you........ I loved the cape ........... and those crazy feet/moves. That man was in great shape.

****

James Brown -- one of a kind.

RIP
