TEHRAN, Dec. 23 (MNA) -- Mel Gibson’s blockbuster “The Passion of the Christ” (2004) will be screened at the Imam Ali (AS) Religious Arts Museum tomorrow.

Depicting the last twelve hours in the life of Jesus (AS), the controversial film will be reviewed by Iranian critics Hiva Masih and Reza Dorostkar in a session open to the public after the screening.

They must have heard it was anti-Semitic . . .

I swear the liberal JINOs are their own worst enemies.

Or, God wants them to see it!

God works in mysterious ways, and brings good out of evil.

Wouldn't it be funny if the Iranians, screening this film because they heard all the hooplah about it being anti-Semitic and causing pogroms all across America, are led to Christ?

That could be interesting. I've read from multiple sources that Christianity is booming in Iran, fueled by dreams and visions of Jesus.

With God all things are possible.
not a few, not some but ALL. He is powerful beyond limit and just as the early Christians didn't want to get near the persecuting Saul, they soon came to know the loving Paul.
God is still in control even though the tide looks altogether accomodating to evil.

praying for the light to go on,
thirsty.

True...

Many are running away from Islam and converting to Christianity or Zoroastrianism

Islam denies that Jesus even DIED on the cross, much less that He even rose from the dead.

There was another post here on FR with some propoganda from Achmedinajad, where he called Jesus the "messiah" .... which of course is a word designed to tug at Western Christian ears, but when one examines the meaning of what Achmedinajd is saying, one realizes that he is talking about a VERY DIFFERENT Jesus.

MNA or MehrIran News Agency is controlled by the Islamic Regime and not a source to be believed. The Persian language pages talk of interviews where it is stated that the West is totally to blame for problems in Lebanon.

Mullah talking points and views presented.

This is one of those "disinformation" sites in English, which like Arafat's speeches said one thing in English and the opposite in Arabic.

The BBC link to Christmas in Tehran was also from the Persian language page which would not have been edited or verified by an English section editor.

Plus for those who lived in England, the architecture of one of the buildings in one of the photos strongly resembles British rather than Iranian styles.

After having arrested and imprisoned some two dozen Christians for being of that faith and not Moslems, does anyone really believe that the Mullahs would allow such a display to be there? Or the store owners to not be in prison too?

And the shoppers to be so relaxed instead of fearful of instant retribution by the morals or religious police???

This is pure disinformation being fed to those of us on FR, too gullible or naive, to know better.

And thus to try to change our opinion of the Mullah regime for the better.

FARS, I don't think much of anything could change our opinions of the mad mullahs for the better.

Excuse me.

You ought to check with some friends in Tehran about this before going off the deep end.
The Christian area of Tehran allows these displays, believe it or not. This has been going on there for yrs.

NOT since Ahmadi-Nejad took over August 2005. Anything that took place in years before that holds true nor is currently valid. I expected your "deflecting" comment and in this case disinformation.

lol.
So we can assume you checked with your friends in Tehran? Cuz I'm checking with mine to verify that this practice is still going on and whether the Christmas photos presented as being for 2006 are real. We'll see.

And by the way, I said the practice of Christmas displays in Tehran has been going on for yrs. And it has. No disinformation. If it stopped this year, we'll find out. But you clearly made it sound as though this sort of thing has never been allowed. That's disinformation.
