CHP, LA County Sheriffs, all responding.....2 officers shot at Long Beach Blvd and 6th street in Long Beach...suspect had a lot of tattoos
BREAKING NEWS****BREAKING NEWS****BREAKING NEWS
LBPD Chief just finished a press conference. The shooting suspect has been identified but not caught yet.
His name is OSCAR MANUEL GALLEGOS, described as a "career criminal." But wait until you hear about his "career."
He has been deported [to Mexico?] several times before and repeatedly re-enters the U.S. illegally. His arrest record includes an arrest in the past for making "terrorist threats."
Chief Batts vows that Gallegos will be hunted down and will be found. Per Batts, "We will also pursue charges against anyone who is harboring the suspect." Gallegos is considered armed and dangerous.
He was being stopped by police for running a red light, when he fired on the police officers.
Video is not up at this moment, but here is the link: http://www.myfoxla.com/myfox/pages/Home/Detail?contentId=1862817&version=2&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=PSTY&pageId=1.1.1
Long Beach Memorial Hospital has issued positive reports on the conditions of both officers. Thank God.
Hi,Dita,,,TANKS for the ping,,,This never ends...
No Christmas cease-fire either.
+++ Father, Son and Holy Ghost, this has got to stop.
"They threw in the Filipino thing because maybe he looks a little Asian or to make the description a little more PC."
One doesn't have to go far from Long Beach, to be among many ethnicities; Samoan, Filipino, Hispanic, black, etc. Probably less worrisome are Indians, up around Cerritos.
Yep, there's an old Samoan neighborhood nearby there, but check post #61, as police have ID'd the perp. Maybe he could get some brand-new cuffs for Christmas.
Thanks for the ping. I was reading this post earlier....so much for the virtual fence.

Police issued a warrant for Gallegos' arrest on charges of attempted murder of a police officer. They urged to the public to help but warned that Gallegos should be considered "armed and extremely dangerous."
Batts described Gallegos as a "known thug" and said his first arrest was in 1990 in Long Beach on a firearms violation. He was deported in 1994, he said.
"He may have been deported several times," Batts said.
"Git a Rope".
IF this doesn't convince the open-border-crowd nothing will!
What can one expect from those that REFUSE to obey our laws from DAY ONE when they illegally snuck into this country? They are leeches that know better than anyone how to screw the system and our Govt is allowing it!
They bring in diseases, drugs, murder, rape etc etc!
DEMAND that your "lawmakers" (ha) do something about all the MILLIONS of illegals lawbreakers leeches and anchor brats be stopped and deported!
Lets send Mexico back to where it belongs in mexico!
Hmmm, I wonder what comment #74 said...
They have not caught the perp yet; hope they are looking in Mexico too.
The fact of the matter is that their ability to break our immigration laws leads to disrespect and violation of all our laws. And to disrespect of our very selves. I see it every day.
Attentions to facts cannot be called bigotry.
You are the Man with a Plan, and I concur.
;^)
Thank you for the updates La Enchiladita.
You are welcome, and ... Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas back at ya!
I'm sorry but this issue is very inflammatory.
People breaking laws to get into our Country and than murdering our Police is just not and never will be acceptable in the U.S.A.
