Im not convinced anymore that there is "west" anymore.
EU will become Russian backyard, US will be involved in Iraq, Afghanistan etc...
NATO betrayed USA in Iraq, EU doesent give a damn about USA, soon by influencin Romania and Bulgaria and who knows... Germany? Russia will have its own wotes in NATO.
Situation is pretty much different than 10 years ago. better or worst, I cant tell, butr different it is.
