There is no question but that he was observed carefully and that his efforts to retrieve the torn up documents deposited in the trash met with failure.
The question on the minds of every DC reporter should be...... Where are the torn up pieces and did the law enforcement observers retrieve them?
I'll bet the pieces are in custody somewhere.
The Wall for that man in my world.
Burgler belongs in jail. No further comment-I'm going to get sick.
This should've come out 2 years ago. This is absolute bulls#it!! Why does this come out now? What's the point? They've managed to cover this up for this long!
Someone enlighten me because I've been too busy at work to pay attention to talk radio during the day.
The Clinton administration. The gift that keeps on giving.
When I read the earlier reports, I did wonder who saw him and who reported on this. IIRC, when this first came out, there was some suggestion that one of the librarians had actually alerted LE, since Berger did this over several trips to the library. In addition, while the head librarian was replaced shortly after the whole thing came out, he seems to have cooperated at some point (after his initial response, which was to call Clinton's lawyer!).
I doubt that anybody has the fragments, though.
If they're not, then we have to ask WHY, if they saw him doing all of this, no one intervened or took him into custody right then and there.
Fantasy headline: Former ambassador Joseph Wilson asks federal judge if he can hide in Sandy Berger's pants.
Not only has the press neglected to cover the Berger story it has also ignored this:

Does anyone know why we have a national archive that doesn't also scan every document and have it on a hard drive?
Can you imagine the outcry if Condi Rice did this? Instead, the media largely yawns.
I think they (the RNC) is saving all this stuff and will haul it out if Hillary runs.
Sandy Burglar
Berger was just trying to encourage recycling.
He was just working on his version of the IRS' "Paperwork Reduction Act".

Drip. Drip. Drip...
Stay tuned, there be more to come over the next two years.
Drip, drip
I hope Obama gets scared and starts using it against Hillary.
Outside of a few honest souls posting on FR, no one on earth is commenting on this atrocity. The cover-up is awesome and the silence is deafening.
