A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

I've gone through the entire thread and all your ornaments are beautiful......and I think you know......your pledge is especially beautiful. Thanks for a nice treat tonight.

I did so much damage yesterday that I wasn't sure if I could handle more of the same today.

Hope you know that's all it takes to send me back to the drawing board! :) Doesn't take much encouragement. LOL Thank you so much for the compliments. (Yellow may not be a favorite color, but just trying to keep them different)
Merry Christmas, Proud!

That sounds good, I've used pecans before but have never roasted them first. Will have to try that. I slow-roasted them for couple of hours - tossed in a little olive oil first. We like to eat them that way just by themselves. :)
I'm going to try the Silent Night link tmomorrow morning. Know it's really nice or you wouldn't have provided the link.

That ornament is so beautiful, dear Billie. I love the colors and details of it.
Thank you so much for taking the time to make and post such a lovely gift for me personally! I've put it on my profile page with much joy.
Mighty Christmas!

Wow, what a beautiful thread. I'm sorry I couldn't get to it until today, we spent the night up in Scottsdale Wednesday night to pick up my grandmother at Sky Harbor and to hit the Fashion Square mall for some last minute shopping.
I hope everyone is having a blessed week.

Thank you so much for the beautiful ornament. I have printed it out and it is hanging up at work.
P.S. Lucy tolerates getting her pic taken, she is a good sport :-)
Merry Christmas to you and yours

The Joy Of Redemption
READ:
Psalm 98Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! For He has done marvelous things. Psalm 98:1 For 30 straight Christmas seasons at the Omaha Community Playhouse, Dick Boyd never missed a performance as Ebenezer Scrooge in Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol. When he retired at the age of 83, Boyd no longer needed makeup to play the cynical, miserly old man who is transformed at Christmas. During the play, the dramatic change in Scrooge is seen in his face, in his voice, and in his generosity. The director who selected Boyd for the role in 1976 said, Dick was the one who best captured the joy of redemption.
Each Christmas reminds us of Gods grace shown to us in the gift of Jesus Christ, His Son. The carols of the season reflect the psalmists words: Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory. The Lord has made known His salvation; His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations (Ps. 98:1-2). Isaac Watts poetically expressed Psalm 98 in these enduring words:
Joy to the world! The Lord is come:
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And heaven and nature sing.
The evidence of Gods salvation can be seen in our faces, heard in our voices, and reflected by the works of our hands. May the joy of redemption shine through us this Christmas, and throughout the rest of the year. David C. McCasland
Youll have no true joy at Christmas if Christ is not in your heart.

Thank you for all the pings!
I have been doing catch up work this week so I have not been here much.
The office will be closed starting at noon today and thru New Year's Day. I do not have internet hooked up at home, so unless I go to the public library I will not "see" anyone till after the new year.
I hope every one has a Merry Christmas and a wonder-filled new year!
God bless you all!
