Matthews Knocks W for Not Being In Touch 'With Critics, Like Matt Damon'

It goes without saying that if you're the Commander-in-Chief, among the first people whose criticism you'd want to take into account would be . . . Hollywood movie stars. At least, that would seem to be Chris Matthews's opinion.
Have a look at this video clip from this afternoon's Hardball.
The specific object of Chris's ire was the president's suggestion at his press conference today that Americans shop more. Asked Matthews:
"I wonder if he's in touch with the critics out there, like Matt Damon, the actor, who was on this program Monday?"
Well, naturally, Matt's views on shopping should be of top concern to any president. Then again, wouldn't Barbra Streisand have more expertise on the particular subject matter at hand?
"Babs? W here. What's hot on Rodeo Drive? The American people need to know."

This illustrates why MSNBC is so highly rated. Or not.

Why would the President give a hoot about the mewlings of some metrosexual actor?

Isn't Matthews the guy who started out in public life collecting graft for Tip O'Neill?

Why would the President give a hoot about the mewlings of some metrosexual actor?More importantly, why should we give a hoot about what Chris Matthews says.

The President has better things to do than listen to airheads carp about the war.

I KNEW the lefties would go crazy over Pres. Bush's suggestion that we keep shopping.
They have never gotten over that he hasn't put us on food stamps and gas rations in order for US to "sacrifice" for this war....
Of course what Sissy Chrissy and his friends don't want to admit is that one of Osama Bin Ladin's main goals was to ruin the USA financially....
And when Pres. Bush told people to keep spending money after 9/11....it kept the economy from going under, along with the tax cuts and other ways that Pres. Bush has helped Americans.
SO...I knew Sissy would latch onto that one answer. LOL
Of course Damon and other celebs have NO CLUE about economics....but, hey....the POTUS should listen to their advice, right Chrissy??

People of West Virginia must be really proud of Sheets Byrd, then. Everything in that state is named after Sheets.
