WASHINGTON -- Virginia Sen.-elect Jim Webb said President Bush is a "failed president" who should use his last two years in office to repair America's image abroad by ending the Iraq war through intensive diplomacy.
In an interview Tuesday with the Daily Press, Virginia's newly elected Democratic senator made clear his antipathy toward Bush and his determination to help set a new course in Iraq

I think he is a dead ringer for Tim Robbins.
We had a War on Poverty and the poor won. There are as many of them now as ever, so I think we need an immediate exit strategy from this war, which has lasted much, much longer than WWII.
Libs always think there's a legislative answer to everything. They choose not to see that, by and large, where you end up economically in this country is the result of your behavior and choices. There are behaviors that help you do well economically (get an education including learning the basics of financial management, get a job, then marry, then have children) and behavior that will cause you to be poor (don't get an education, have no idea how to handle the little money you do have, and crank out baby after baby with no dad in sight.)
We need to declare the War on Poverty over, and withdraw our Health and Human Services employees from the front lines.
From his actions so far, it appears the first drunk the cops pick up off the streets on New Years Day would make a better senator than this arrogant clown.
I think he is a dead ringer for Tim Robbins.
EEEWWW -- another RAT/lib/socialist lookalike!
He looks more like the evil doll, "Chuckie."
sure hope you didn't put this in "Breaking News"
Has this moron figured out that President Bush isn't running for office? Good grief, this guy acts like a 12 year old. What an embarrassment for the good people of Virginia.
"intensive diplomacy"
I believe "intensive diplomacy" is what the troops are for!
I wish someone like General Patton was around to voice his thoughts about Webb.
Webb is lower than the enemy and may he rot in hell.
That's true, however, Virginia has always represented pure, real class. Even the poorest of the poor had class. Those southern manners and graciousness that made them stand out from all others. If that is to the point where even "almost" half voted for this vulgar boor, then Virginia is almost lost.
"I have declined to answer personal questions about my son in a political context," Webb said in explaining his response to Bush.
This from the guy who wore his son's combat boots throughout the campaign and was waving them around in the air on election night.
His son's service was Webb's campaign theme and he talked about it constantly-except to President Bush.
" by ending the Iraq war through intensive diplomacy. "
This is LOL.Diplomacy to Webb is calling Muslims " ragheads."
Which he did -twice- in a Washington Post interview two weeks before the election.
This guy is bad news. He is actually worse than the man he saved from political extinction. His buddy John F'n Kerry.
"Yon Cassius has a lean and hungry look."
Jim Webb is recommending someone else use "intensive diplomacy." That's rich.
Does anyone know where I can find a picture of Webb holding up his son's boots on Election Night? I can't seem to Google it up.
Thanks.
Too bad you guys aren't like us in california and cant recall this boob. Its a pity virginia is stuck with him for 6 years.
