It was a day for bill signing as the president signed S. 843, the Combating Autism Act of 2006; S. 3678, the Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Act; and H.R. 6143, the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Modernization Act of 2006.

VP Cheney is to be a defense witness (for Lewis Libby) in the Valerie Plane case.

Today I purchased the PEOPLE magazine with THE photo of/article with our HOT First Couple and then promptly called PEOPLE's customer service line to explain WHY I had purchased the magazine . . . I certainly didn't want them to assume that all of the sales generated by this issue were a result of their idiotic decision to put BRADJOLINA on the cover (and NOT the President and Laura) . . . She listened intently and told me she agreed with my assessment and would definitely share it with the subscription and marketing directors!!

[I haven't been sooooooooooooooo satisfied with the outcome of a telephone call since the last time I called the White House comment line to express my ENTHUSIASTIC support for our visionary and courageous President!!]


Sometimes I feel that Tony Snow, et al, should put me on their payroll! . . . Actually, I'd just settle for a photo and five minute conversation with the President!!

That is so pagan. Flies in the face of scripture, which tells us to believe the best of people, and not easily take offense.

We have truly become a cry-baby society.

Unbelievable the people that go on and about privacy until it suits them that this is not important for Republicans and their family to have privacy.

Frankly whilst I understand why the slightest incident involving President and Vice President are announced it is still IMHO their right not to do this.

Unfortunately in this day and age one cannot keep anything private for long so information that in the past was not necessary to be released is plastered all over the press and at the end of the day are we any better off for it - I doubt it very much.

Tony Snow sounds ticked off here - how stupid surely in 2006 we all know if a mole and sore etc on our body changes we need to get it checked out.

We do not need the First Lady's privacy to be invaded and expect her to emphasis this just because she has had mole or something similar removed.

I am sure there are many of us and or our family who have had similar procedures and would not even bother mentioning it to friends and family this being such a routine procedure nowadays.

Talk about trying to make news where there is none.
