It was a day for bill signing as the president signed S. 843, the Combating Autism Act of 2006; S. 3678, the Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Act; and H.R. 6143, the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Modernization Act of 2006.

VP Cheney is to be a defense witness (for Lewis Libby) in the Valerie Plane case.

Maybe the company that has bought is US based and I believe sales had dropped right off in the UK before the end so maybe no point in shipping a load over here.

The flower range that is popular in Britain now is Woods of Windsor which do the Lily of the Valley that I wear.

They do everything from incense to bubble bath

I'm sorry to hear your hubby is so sick .. what is it, the flu? Not good .. don't forget this, and I hope it's all wonderful for you and yours, sweet O. You have to copy and paste into your browser. I just wish I could send the version with Karen Carpenter singing .. it's so beautiful with the pictures.

I used a dark barbecue sauce by Masterpiece. My head hurts too much for me to made a trip back out to the kitchen to read the label right now (I'm heading for bed). It really doesn't taste that barbecue-y. Just rich and delicious.

Oh yes, in his lungs, nose, throat, --- I have kept our house cleaning lady away from here --- she can come after Christmas. I do not want her to get sick.

I'll go try the tropical one.

Finally getting back to you.

Picked up daughter safe and sound. (Two others driving home now, son in SA isn't making it home).

Daughter's in what we thought would be her final year of studies, but her supervisor wants her to stay another year. Sigh.......

She's already been hired by a University here in the States, and they've given her an extension, so she won't start until the fall of 2008.

(btw, if you Google her name, you can come up with all her academic 'stuff'. Pretty impressive. :)

Because she will be staying longer, younger daughter will be doing a study abroad program in Africa, and Eric is going back to Iraq, we will have four kids on four different continents........and us on yet another.

The wings are a bit too strong for this Mommy.....

I looked at the barbecue sauce label and it's KC Masterpiece Original Barbecue Sauce. It only calls for one-quarter cup and if you didn't like that, you could add a little more of the Worcestershire sauce plus something else, perhaps tomato ketchup.

With each stage of my son's adult development I have tried to remind myself of what I was like and what I felt at his age and it has helped me to adjust to his independence. Of course a loving Christian parent never stops praying for the offspring, or wanting news of the child's comings, goings, and doings, but turning that telescope around gives me power to release him to God and his own calling with a joy I wouldn't and couldn't have otherwise. I experienced the need to let go of him during his youth, due to my own health being so bad that he had to stay with friends, and then later, with relatives for a while. That was hard but perhaps it helped me later. I hope this might help a little as you contemplate the ever-widening circles in which your children fly. Also, knowing that your children are successful and happy, and wouldn't be if you had made them fearful to try their wings, can be extremely comforting.

I did read that, Seven.

I believe the Cheneys would have come out higher on the poll if they got more exposure in the press. They clearly love their pets and it's obvious the pets love them and are happy.
