If Al Franken's hero Bill Clinton, or even Al Gore were the one running this war in the same way, with the same exact circumstances, he would be touting it as a huge success. Since it is a Republican President waging this war he can only blast it as a dismal failure.
Two things you can always depend on liberals for. Lies and hypocricy.

No, it is true. The guy who told me wouldn't have made it up. I'm hoping to talk him into making a written statement or at least making a complaint to the USO.

And I've never seen a USO show with anything but positive, morale boosting entertainment: Bob Hope, Lee Greenwood, Brooke Shields, Barbara Eden, and several dancers and cheerleaders.
Like I said up thread I didn't see his show, but even if it were positive, the scheduler would still have to know this guy's politics, right?

Dang TT -- looking at that list I'm thinking Camp Victory definitely drew the SHORT straw or something. Are you all on Santa's naughty list or what? (teasing -- but sheesh! I think you need a little Darryl Worley for counter balance!)

I was just tryin' to be nice! ;D
Can't think of why I should, though, with that idiot running loose in the world. Has he gotten beat to a pulp yet? Is there ONE troop there who would agree with his liberal pap? He should go entertain the terrorists...they would love him...with his head on a pike!

Many of those were back in the 80's while I was sailing out of Japan. Seems the big stars like the ships better--safer meybe?
But there have been others here too: singers whose names I can't remember, country, R&B, even some rockers. And comedians like Robin Wiliams. Many bigger names than Al Freakin-idiot, just before I was here.

When my hubby was in Balad Robin Williams came to the base...my hubby wouldn't walk over to the hangar to see him...he stayed in his office and caught up on paper work.
