Reminds me of a company I used to work for that would say they had a
profit if they lost less this quarter vs the one previous.
They are out of business.

1.9 from 1.8 is more easily attributable to statistical clutter.
When they're writing stories about a tenth of a point, it's kinda sad.

Mark these desperate last utterances well.
Even in the face of indisputable evidence to the contrary, certain members intend to go down with the ship.

So the Titanic is still sinking, but it has slowed down for a month....The other two are still taking on a lot of water. CBS will resume losing viewers shortly.

Reminds me of the Ron Zook press conferences after a Gator loss, "We're getting better and better...."

For a little perspective:
In 2001, The CBS Evening News was pulling in on average about 10 Million viewers per telecast which translated at the toime to around a 7 rating. By 2003, the numbers were 8 Million viewers and just below a 6 rating on average.
Crowing about any recent "gains" is like being happy that the boat is not sinking as fast as it was a month ago.

Her Perkiness was smart and or lucky enough to have a good agent. She gets paid, regardless of her performance, iirc.
I'm still shocked Moonves and others are still there, wasting corporate funds on such a bonehead move.
But, he must have found Cap'n Dan's files on the certain senior executives and board members. Does any former
FBI agent from the Clinton era work for Les "capped teeth" Moonves?

And yet they could have gained a lot by simply admitting to fraud, apologizing and promising to never do it again.
Guess that was too hard to do!

"Gaining"? How about, "We're losing more slowly"?

That's right, See-BS, just keep telling yourselves that....

The increasingly unpopular mainstream media has to look for every entrail of encouraging news to boost their sagging spirits and bodyparts.
