Nifong made a big misjudgment in the very beginning of this fiasco. He thought he could accuse some rich white boys, maybe a headline for one day in the local news, get elected and this would just go away.
Not too smart Nifong....as it happened the news went national overnight, international the second day. Cable news was in Durham the following day. There was no turning back for Nifong. He has never been able to find a way out without admitting the truth. Well, Mr. Nifong...the truth is going to come knocking on your bank account, all your assets and your future earnings. I hope you are ready to pay up.
