SOURCES: FORMER PRESIDENT GERALD FORD'S HEALTH TAKES TURN FOR THE WORSE... DEVELOPING...
I was only 16 when Carter won over Ford, and I never will forget that night. I watched the victory celbration and thought it was like watching the beginnings of a disaster unfolding.
With Ford as President, the Iran debacle might never have happened as it did, we probably would have propped up the Shah.. who knows, this current Islamofacist movement might have been nipped in the bud...
Good point.
What might have been prevented with Ford instead of Carter at the helm? Would the terrorists not have gotten the foothold they did because of Carter's ineptness?
Worth thinking about.......
Beginning to think this may be a false report. It's been nearly 24 hours, and no word.
He was talking about Watergate.
It has always interested me how many presidents did not have fathers. Some didn't have their birth names.
Clinton's name was Blythe,,or they say so.
Nixons father died young I do believe.
LBJ's father died when Johnson was a baby I do believe.
Ford had a step father's name.
I don't know about Carters father.
It just seems like not having a father may do something that sometimes results in great ambition.
God bless Gerald Ford.

I am so sorry, John! I paged back up to read the posts, but I must have had a total disconnect.
I guess I'll go back to my lurking mode.
