He's the author of one of my favorite quotes: "A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have."

Passed Reagan on Nov 13. He's it.

President Ford accepted a very difficult job and performed with grace. May the Lord be with him now.

I've lit a candle for him in the FR Prayer Room. I hope it isn't his time to go, but if it is, bless him!

Well put. I remember those times clearly (unfortunately) and have always thought that Ford has been underestimated by history. It took guts for him to pardon Nixon, but that was exactly the right thing to do at that time. The ultimate "time to move on".

I also thought he handled that crisis with North Korea very well.
