Just call executions retro-active abortion and liberal judges would fall all over themselves upholding them

Hanging,a firing squad or old sparky are much better and cause less pain.

"The Justice System grinds to a halt while the Legal System grinds on."
We have neither.
We have a justice industry and crime management system.
And it will never change, at least not in our lifetimes.

Just in case you couldn't have guessed this one on your own:
Fogel, Jeremy D.
Born 1949 in San Francisco, CA
Federal Judicial Service:
Judge, U. S. District Court, Northern District of California
Nominated by William J. Clinton on September 8, 1997, to a seat vacated by Robert P. Aguilar; Confirmed by the Senate on March 16, 1998, and received commission on March 17, 1998.

Fine, lets go back to hanging. That was not unconstitutional for a couple of hundred years. It was thought neither cruel nor unusual, just effective at preventing repeat offenses.

I'm in favor of restoring hanging in California. Bring it back.

Just shoot them in the freaking head. How painful would that be? They'd be dead immediately. And that would save the state a lot of money too. How expensive is one bullet and a janitor to clean up the mess?

I'm starting to think that Judges may be unconstitutional.

The headline is misleading and false. He gave a clear map to remedy the situation and all executions to go forward.

I think the initial crimes that resulted in this penalty are unconstitutional as well as alot of the grinding legal system.

I'm sorry if what I'm about to say offends some people: I don't give a flying fat rat's ass how much a damn convicted killer suffers during their execution. You can be guaranteed they don't suffer nearly as much as their victims did (or the victim's families for that matter).

The Justice System grinds to a halt while the Legal System grinds on.Then kill them with a bullet, it's quicker, and if more who deserved it were executed, it wouldn't be unusual. There, problem solved.

They should use heroin for the lethal injection. People do that voluntarily, therefore it must not be cruel and it is obviously not unusual.
Heck, we might even get volunteers!

I don't get it... So, change the "cocktail." The last time I had general anesthetic, they first gave me a shot (in my IV) of sodium pentathol, and had me count backwards from 100. I got to 99 and then I was completely out. Once the convict is unconcious, give him the rest of the "cocktail."

Some political hack just unilaterially halted all executions in CA by himself because HE personally feels they're "cruel and unusual". Hmmmm.
If I didn't know better, I'd say some RINOs in California took my advice and imported "electable moderate" George H. Ryan after all. Perhaps ol' George changed his name. Being pro-criminal is one of those surprises "electable moderates" typically don't tell you about until they're in office.
We'll know for certain if this judge follows it up by unilaterally raising state "fees" in California and orders the General Assembly into "special session" indefinitely until they pass more "reasonable" gun control" laws.
Don't laugh. The REAL George Ryan actually did all this stuff during his tenure: halted all executions with a stroke of the pen, jacked up everyone's taxes under the guise of higher "fee" increases to pay for education, and held the legislature hostage til he got them to punish gun owners.
It doesn't matter though, cuz he was ELECTABLE!
