THE ABSURDITY OF HILLARY
|
... While America appears not to be ready for a female president under any circumstances, the post-9/11 realities pose special problems for a female presidential candidate. Add to these the problems unique to missus clinton. The reviews make the mistake of focusing on the problems of the generic female presidential candidate running during ordinary times.
These are not ordinary times. America is waging the global War on Terror; the uncharted territory of asymmetric netherworlds is the battlefield; the enemy is brutal, subhuman; the threat of global conflagration is real.
Defeating the enemy isn't sufficient. For America to prevail, she must also defeat a retrograde, misogynous mindset. To successfully prosecute the War on Terror, it is essential that the collective patriarchal islamic culture perceives America as politically and militarily strong. Condi Rice excepted, this requirement presents an insurmountable hurdle for any female presidential candidate, and especially missus clinton, historically antimilitary--(an image, incidentally, that is only enhanced today by her clumsy, termagant parody of Thatcher), forever the pitiful victim, and, according to Dick Morris, "the biggest dove in the clinton administration."
It is ironic that had the clintons not failed utterly to fight terrorism... not failed to take bin Laden from Sudan... not failed repeatedly to decapitate a nascent, still stoppable al Qaeda... the generic female president as a construct would still be viable... missus clinton's obstacles would be limited largely to standard-issue clintonisms: corruption, abuse, malpractice, malfeasance, megalomania, rape and treason... and, in spite of Juanita Broaddrick, or perhaps because of her, Rod Lurie would be reduced to perversely hawking the "First Gentleman" instead of the "Commander-in-Chief." |
thank you. :)
Yes, indeed, it is.
The media wouldn't care about or be smart enough to excuse two smart suits.
And the Clintons would keep blacks on the bus if it was politically expedient to do so. They use blacks for their votes when they need to-the Dems play the blacks in this country like a fine violin.
The GOP has nothing better to offer than this!
For 2 years it waht, "if you don't vote for us you get Nancy Pelosi as the head of the House..
Now it's gonna be two more years of "If you don't vote for us it's gonna be President Hillary."
Well if that's all the GOP has to offer, it IS Gonna Be President Hillary.
And if that's all the GOP Has To Offer, then President Hillary is exactly what they deserve.
I'm not getting on the "anyone but hillary", bandwagon. Thanks anyway.
I have always thought Morris and others are on the Clinton payroll. What bothers me a lot is how can a woman stay with a man who has raped women?

Ironically, the logic of this pronouncement by Martin Luther King would, in short order, be refuted by the reality of his own lynching. King's hope was misplaced and his reasoning was circular. The resultant rule of law relied on by King presumed an adherence to the rule of law in the first instance. Adherence to the rule of law is not something normally associated with the clintons. Moreover, racial and ethnic disrespect, intimidation, exploitation and hate have always been a fundamental clinton tactic and the reflexive use the "N"-word and other racial and ethnic slurs, an essential element in the clinton lexicon. When the "first black president" and his wife ran Arkansas, the NAACP sued them for intimidating black voters at the polls.

What's black and white and read all over and is more self-destructive than pre-9/11 thinking?
Pre-clinton thinking, that's what....
Putting doctrinal purity ahead of making sure a defective and dangerous clinton never again controls this country is pre-clinton thinking.
We no longer have the luxury of time or circumstance to massage our sensibilities, to indulge our indignations.
We will not survive another clinton. (We may yet not survive the first one.)

ok. fine.
But if you think I'm voting on the bases of this crap, you're not smart.
The GOP better have something better this, a LOT better, or forget it.
"Do you now understand how stupid the clintons think you are?"
This is the crux of the matter, "Mia T"!! How in the whole wide world can anyone in his/her right mind even THINK of voting for either of these two (2) people?? It just escapes me!!

I know this. You sound angry. Look, so am I.
I see two basic problems. In my view we have to separate out the problems or we run the risk of solving neither... and worse, of putting this country at grave risk in 08..
The problems, as I see them:
1-Keeping the clintons out of the White House. Forever.
2-Getting exceptional people to serve in government.
The latter requires going back to the founders' idea of the citizen-politician. The professional pol is a self-selected class that is mediocre and corrupt or corruptible.
;)
bump. And to sit out the election, or to vote 3rd party is to place a de facto vote for missus clinton (if she is the nominee-the Ds may yet wise up).

Thank you!

// Morris' arguments are so flawed that I must wonder if the toe-sucker is a stealth clinton suckup. //
I have had the same concerns about Morris. He's not a conservative. Did he really see the error of his ways, or did he just get his feelings hurt?
