I received a FRmail tonight from Freeper kayak regarding a health issue that her doctors have discovered. Some of you, apparently, are already aware of this. I DO have her permission to put this thread up. She will not be on here to respond as she's still working and will be starting treatments.
Anyway, from kayak....Several weeks ago as part of my routine annual physical I had a chest x-ray. When it came back showing some suspicious shadows, the doc ordered a CT scan which also showed the shadows. So last week I had a bronchoscopy and got the results on Monday.
I have lung cancer. The good news is that of the 2 kinds I have the least aggressive kind and it can usually be removed surgically. The bad news is that because of the location of the cancer it can't be gotten to surgically without doing damage to parts I need.
So I'm facing a regimen of chemo and radiation probably. Monday I have an appointment with an oncologist to begin planning how we're going to attack this thing.
Please PLEASE pray for kayak!!!
Dear Lord God, our hearts are heavy tonight with this news from kayak. She is a dear lady who loves you with all of her heart. Thank you for giving her so VERY many prayer warriors, thank you for giving her a WONDERFUL husband who has been nothing but 100% supportive of her.
Lord, I pray for a "Logan Miracle". Lord, please heal her body. Please guide the medical personnel who will be helping her through this. Please give her YOUR peace. Peace that passes all understanding.

Apologies for double pings, but I know all of the Merry Band of Patriots would want to know this news about the wonderful woman who posts the prayer list for soldiers in harm's way.
We all extend our prayers for success with the chemotherapy and radiation treatments she will be starting this coming week.

Prayers Kayak. A friend of mine had similar recently and is making an amazing recovery.
I stand before you, proof of the Power of the Cross! It is true that God performs miracles - but this is the greatest miracle: God is with us.
No matter what happens, or where we may be, God is with us. May kayak feel the Hand of the Lord upon her, and know that she is beloved of God. May her heart be comforted, and her body be healed by the Power of the Cross. In Jesus name, I pray it...

My heart goes out to you and your family. You are in my prayers. Modern medicine is very good and God does listen to prayers. May God watch over you and help you through this time in your life

So sorry to learn of this struggle you face...but so glad that so many are joining you in the struggle through prayer, encouragement, and loving concern.
