Yep, it's official. I defended (and passed) last Thursday. Now I can go to my new job w/o that burden on me. So many people leave before they defend; it often takes them years to finish, and many of them never do finish. I'm glad I listened to my advisors and stayed poor a bit longer and just got it done.
