The beauty with the internet is that we can actively support someone like Hunter and once GR Discovers that most conservatives are fleeing from Rudy McRomney, he'll follow, like he always has in the past.

Right now, he and Brownback are the only fresh things on the menu, and I'm skittish about nominating a Senator: a House member would carry an advantage in avoiding the elitist stigma.
If he can pull off the very tall order of achieving national recognition in the next year, he will have demonstrated enormous fortitude and would deserve the nod.

There is an interesting dynamic in his family. His brother heads a group that leaves water and supplies in the desert areas to help illegals coming into the country.
And yes, he has a brother that helps the aliens in the desert, and it's caused quite a rift between them. Doesn't look like Hunter sells out because of the interests of family. Wish I could say that for MOST of our current politicians, don't you?
The open border minority just hates Duncan Hunter, which is his greatest plus!

It isn't, in the most part, for him to "pull off". It's how many supporters work, and how hard they work, to pull it off that counts.

Even our discussing him as a candidate is a plus for him because others read it and see his name.
But I would think it's up to him to get the snowball rolling - which in itself is a look at his organizational skills and ability to govern, no?

Duncan Hunter is my first choice, I sure hope it happens. If not then Newt, but no way on earth am I voting for Rudy or McCain. And not to vote makes me feel sick even thinking about it. I never did that before.
