Gonna be a fire sale on firewood in the next couple days, bet on it. Got a bunch out front of the house already.

Looking at the tides... looks like the dock will be on the beach until about 10pm, but will only barely float. Not a very high tide, 8.5 around 2am then back out. Not great. It'll get beat on by the shore wave, but I think it would be worse if it were higher. It'll potentially take some abuse during that shallow period where it will get slammed on the bottom. It's that jarring that I picture actually breaking something.

I live in Southern Oregon, where the winds are going to be up to 100 miles on the coast, live about 45 miles away. I have a 20 acre forest of Douglas fir, on my land, no where near my house, and that roaring sound is such a rush. Thinking about going to the coast to see the ocean all churned up too!!

Here's the good news: Dawn is just now breaking here on Maui. There is hardly a cloud in the sky and temperatures will be in the mid eighties today. (Don't you just hate me) LOL I hope you get sunburned... :)

It was topped about 2 weeks before the 93 storm, believe it or not!
It's pretty sturdy now, but Hemlocks seem to have problems with like the torque or something.
If it comes down, it'd probably miss the house, but take out my newly rebuilt front deck.
:-(

This is true! I don't think anything can reach the main end of my place...just the back bedroom I'm usin' as my garage.
Except...where would we put the horses?
