A private laboratory hired by the prosecution in the Duke lacrosse case failed to report that it found DNA from multiple males in the accuser's body and underwear, according to a defense motion filed today. The lab, DNA Security of Burlington, found that the DNA did not match the three defendants, their lacrosse teammates or anyone else who submitted their DNA to police, including the accuser's boyfriend.
The new evidence emerged in thousands of documents handed over to the defense in October.

Greta'announcement blew me over....it's gotten so there's ALWAYS another shoe dropping. Is this why Nifong said he hasn't spoken w/her about the case since he needed plausible deniability?
I can't be the only one who has noticed that all the "shoes" are dropping on the defense side!
Now we know why Nifong was stretching out the projected time for the trial.

And the taxpayers of Durham only had to pay $23,000 for it!
That's just the cost for the test. Just imagine how much CGM and this whole fiasco has costed Durham. On a positive note the city did get interest on 300k in bonds.
And here I thought my strep throat was making me dizzy. Turns out it's this round and round and round case! And too bad for Nee-Fong. All the rounds are going for the defense!

Duke Lacrosse Accuser Gives Birth

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- WRA's Julia Lewis has confirmed that the accuser in the Duke lacrosse case gave birth late Thursday at UNC Hospitals.
Her pregnancy had not been public knowledge until Thursday.
WRAL called her boyfriend's home and the person who answered the phone had no comment and then hung up.
The 29-year-old gave birth nine months after she alleges she was raped by three Duke University lacrosse players at a March 13 team party.
The suspects in the case, David Evans, 23, Collin Finnerty, 20, and Reade Seligmann, 20, have denied the allegations.
This week, attorneys in the case filed a motion in which they said male DNA from multiple sources was found on the accuser, but none from their clients. In another motion, they ask that the judge presiding over the case throw out the photographic lineup in which she identified the defendants, saying the IDs were the result of a "tainted procedure."
