A private laboratory hired by the prosecution in the Duke lacrosse case failed to report that it found DNA from multiple males in the accuser's body and underwear, according to a defense motion filed today. The lab, DNA Security of Burlington, found that the DNA did not match the three defendants, their lacrosse teammates or anyone else who submitted their DNA to police, including the accuser's boyfriend.
The new evidence emerged in thousands of documents handed over to the defense in October.

Joke of the day.
I was standing next to the guy from the AP. He sees me with a notebook and assumes I'm a reporter. So he asks me who I'm with. I say private citizen. I almost said FreeRepublic but I didn't want to tip him off. He asks me to point out and name for him the defense attorneys. I did most of them. He then laments that someone who I haven't named is probably going to be the one doing all the talking and he'll not have the name.

Do the voters who elected Nifong not realize that a DA like him who will play fast and loose w/the truth and the evidence could also do it to them should they or anyone they know get into his clutches?

Don't know - didn't get his name. Only saw "AP" on his press credentials. Find me a photo. We can do an ID.

BTW, Ted Williams was babysitting Travis Mangum along with Victoria Peterson (I think is was VP).

What was the atmosphere among the courtroom audience? Was it easy to spot the FA supporters? Did they seem bitter and downtrodden? Did you pick up any clues as to who the FA's "handlers" might be--DA types or New Black Panther types?

You get one shot at it and we will do the lineup Nifong style. No fillers!

You were there? Fill us in on all the behind the scenes stuff! What was it like in there?
To: Locomotive Breath
I hear Cash was there. What, no Jakki?

Seriously Ted? What is Gretta doing with him on the panel then?
I guess we should not be surprised that the was bought off. He was the one with sources about Mangum from DPD early on.

Seating capacity was 56. It was SRO. I counted maybe another 18-24 standing including me. Large contingent of press. I saw Fox (Greta and Susan F.), ESPN, CBS, NBC, CourtTV, AP, N&O, H-S, etc. ID badges.
Mostly lax team supporters. Not so many Mangum supporters. Susan Filan was sitting right in the middle of the Mangum supporters as well. Judge said he had thought about kicking out the standers but as everyone was behaving he decided not to. RS, CF and DE were in and seated when I arrived. The gallery behind them was filled with parents and evident supporters. I witnessed no overt acts of hostility. When I left the pressies were gathered outside the courtroom door waiting on the lawyers and players. There were apparent about 10 male lax players and about 4 women associated (female lax players?). One of the males was attacked by the press and I listened to his interview but didn't have time to stay longer.
