Just 998,718 to go. At this rate we'll all be speaking spanish in 75 years instead of 50.
Good work.

...in other unrelated news, it is suspected that 2,500 illegal immigrants successfully and safely infiltrated the United States today....

I suspect all of them. What federal prison has room for 1,200 prisoners?

You may be correct, but that doesn't negate the value of actually enforcing immigration laws.

the 65 held on criminal charges may not be going anywhere fast or soon,, but the bulk likely will be deported..
btw, I thought we no longer did catch and release... at least at the border anyway.. I could be wrong on that..

A friend at Swift in Worthington, MN, said that they arrested almost 400 of the 1700 employees at the plant.

Exactly. And of those returned to Mexico, how many will just come right back across our "open border" that very day and be hired that afternoon?
These raids come 5 years too late. Can you say "window dressing"? I knew that you could.
To: NormsRevenge
No charges were filed against Swift.
Why???? Obviously Swift looks the other way when confirming an employees' ID.
Stop the Corporations form hiring illegals and the illegals will have no where to work.

The company estimated a raid would remove up to 40 percent of its 13,000 workers. Greeley-based Swift describes itself as the world's second-largest meat processor with sales of about $9 billion. This little tidbit convinces me that the owners and management of Swift should be arrested and tried on immigration / conspiracy charges.
They're obviously culpable in this.

This will end up like the last big round up at the company that makes pallets. Arrested 1200 illegals. Kept 36 and released the rest with a note to return on another day.
Makes a big splash in the news to quiet our heathen bossoms for a while. I'll wait until I see how many are sent packing. I'd bet it isn't many!!

They are probably contract workers. This raid is nothing...let me know when they sweep up illegals by the tens of thousands.
