I hope they "pat" Annan down on they way out of the building. Good move Chuck Hagel, I won't forget you on election day.

Independance, MO, is just east of Kansas City, part of the Metopolitan area.

The funny thing is that this is taking place at the Truman library... I can only imagine the noise coming from HST's grave, because he must be spinning like a top over this!

"I understand that he is to be introduced at this event by Chuck Hagel, per Fox News."

I hope Mr. Hagel is very proud of this accomplishment. (sarc)

Why am I not surprised? Time for the Nebraska GOP to get busy and replace this RINO in the primaries.

I also understand (FNC) this will occur and the Truman Library in MO. He is probably rolling in his grave.

"Thought I heard somewhere, he's putting something like $4M into renovating his place in New York - the place he's lived rent/mortgage free all this time. He'll probably be staying there."

****

No, what I heard is that the UN, which is always crying for money for all of its pet projects (Darfur, for one) is going to spend a large sum of money renovating the Secretary General's residence. Not sure if the figure you quoted is the right one, but I know it's a lot of money that presumably, the UN doesn't have. But it is the Secretary-General's residence, which means that once Kofi is gone, whoever succeeds him will live there, not Kofi.

I'll look for something on it. I'm sure it's online.

You know if that unctuous stoat, Kofi Annan, blasts the U.S., we must be doing something right.

Kurt Waldheim and Kofi Annan ~ perfect together. Vile human beings with no redeeming qualities.

"To bad our President lacks the cajones to purge the Republican Party of RINOS like Hagel, Specter, Chaffee, et al..."

He has more cajones by far than some faceless dude posting on a website that he has no cajones.

Having cajones wouldn't translate into "purging" everyone from a political party that was too liberal or conservative. I'm aware that such treatment was reserved ONLY for the White Supremacist and Ku Klux Klanner David Duke (not that Bush was in power then, he wasn't, but the GOP made sure Duke couldn't run under their banner).

The voters of NB, PA and RI had choices and they voted into high office these people AS REPUBLICANS. Purge them?? Absolutely wrong, and if you don't know why, no use explaining. Let the voters do it if they don't like their brand of "RepublicanLite" or "DemByAnotherName".

As for supporting them for relection after they're Senators, the vaunted conservative Rick Santorum supported Specter for the reason that it's always done. Always. Rick Santorum is not, however, a RINO for doing that. Same thing for RINO Chaffee by the RSCC and the WH.

Ill-informed, rude people such as your ilk bellow that Liddy Dole is a RINO for supporting them for Senate reelection. The lady has a 92% conservative voting record in the Senate. Not perfect, not Jesse Helms. But far, far, far from RINO territory. Compare that to Chaffee who's conservative voting record is somewhere around 30% or less.

Too bad YOU can't disagree with someone and show some decorum and decency at the same time. (Were you raised in A BARN so that you show no manners or common decency when you express political opinions?? Looks like.)

And that every thread is YOUR pathetic opportunity to puff up YOURSELF by attacking President Bush. Doesn't work. You look so.....small.

He'll probably apply for and get US citizenship and become Obama's running mate.

The worst part is that Kofi'll be replaced by some other petty dictator. Shame Bolton can't head the UN.

He will likely do neither as he has millions in "oil for food" money to live a lavish life style and he loves to hear himself talk. He shows his true self(snake)in front of a camera.
