Good piece of reporting tracing the 'flying imams' links to terror organizations. There's a particularly eye-opening connection between one of the mosques and two attempted cockpit entries in '99 that MAY have been a 9/11 trial run.

So was the Flying Imams incident an instance of bigotry? Or was it part of a larger script? If so, whose script is it, and what's the final act? I'll consider those questions in Thursday's column.Stay tuned...

We know the answers to both.

Of course, these facts have been out there on the blogs, talk radio and FR for more than 2 weeks, but good for Kersten and the Strib. Better late than never.
Still waiting for comment from Congressman-Elect Ellison-Muhammed. ;)

I notice the article did not mention him but wasn't he a key player involved in this before they even went on the flight?

I was in Tysons Mall in Va. over the weekend, and noticed a muslin in the children's play area on his knees doing his prayers.
The security guard did not ask him to stop.
I wonder had it been a group of Christians what would have been done?

Why are they still here, Chucky? We've been manipulated by these people in the media, in our courts and on the battlefield. Not to mention at the polls.

It takes our local conservative Op-ed scribe in the Star Tribune to do what the actual paper won't. Dig deep into a story that needs to be fully hashed out because of its need to be a proper PC piece of fishwrap.
This story should be running on the front page of the paper and instead is found on the second to last.
Shameful.

Amazing that this was published in the 'Red' Star Tribune. They are ususally so far to the Left in every issue.

What gets me is that while the conservatives continue to spout insipid "beautiful religion of peace" platitudes, the likes of Chuck
Schumer lays it on the line, calls a spade a spade, and connects the dots?
For all the times I've watched CAIR representatives given mucho face time on Fox News, I've never seen them taken to task for the stuff Schumer mentions.

The GOP all grew up in nice middle-class homes where it wasn't considered "nice" to say unkind words about groups. We bought into the liberal schtick about bigotry completely--but the Left has no such compunctions.
When they identify an enemy--such as the VRWC--they go after it. Schumer, an ardent advocate for Israel, can tell the difference between a peaceful religion and religious fanaticism.

We know they're tweaking the system. They know they're doing it. Anyone with a room-temperature IQ and up knows they're doing it. Everybody reporting it knows they're doing it. So just how deep in denial does someone have to be before they can know all this and turn off that knowledge with a flick of some weird mental switch because it makes them uncomfortable to have to do something about it?
I'm serious - what does it take for someone to process all this information and still say something as inane as "it's a good thing our system is strong enough to cope with this abuse" as if the abuse were itself actually a virtue? "We're slaves to our rules and if these guys can take advantage of that, well then we'll just have to let them." I honestly can't think "liberal" here. Can someone translate it for me?
