Let's see. Turkey. Predominantly Muslim country. Joining the jihad? Big freakin' surprise!Actually it is a surprise. I spent two semesters as a visitng professor in Turkey. My colleagues, and my students, were definitely not jihad-types. There was a lot of goodwill towards the US in all the Turks I met.
Things have changed in the seven years since I left. I still keep in touch with my former colleagues, and they don't seem to have changed, but the temper of the country is definitely different from what it was then.

Muslim 99.8% (mostly Sunni), other 0.2% (mostly Christians and Jews)
I would say more than predominantly muslim especially after brutally wiping out the Christians in repeated pogroms and holocausts.
