Hi.
It's been a while since I posted here on Free Republic, and the main reason is that I wrote, produced, and directed a feature film this year -- Lady Magdalene's, starring Star Trek's Uhura, Nichelle Nichols.
I'm not going to spoil my own plot, but let me just say -- as a long-time advocate of RKBA and author of Stopping Power: Why 70 Million Americans Own Guns -- that Second Amendment advocates will find much in this movie to make them happy.
One of the things that should make RKBA advocates happy is a musical firearms-tactical-training montage in the film, filmed at Front Sight, Nevada, that I've just posted as a music video on YouTube, cut to a song I wrote titled "Tried by 12."
If you enjoy it, please rate it, favorite it, link to it, and tell your friends.
You'll find it at
Thanks,
J. Neil Schulman

Cool man, I've been looking foward to seeing Ms. Nichols in the upcoming Start Trek fan film "Of Gods and Men" also.
When are you releasing this film, is it going to be over the net?

This is very close to something we've been saying in Kentucky for years!"Better tried by 12 than carried by 6".Good luck on your finished product!

wasn't Front Site closed down as a scam operation?

Raymann,
Thanks for the nice words!
Lady Magdalene's is under submission to eight film festivals right now, and we don't yet know which of them will screen the film. We're looking to obtain theatrical distribution before release on cable, DVD, Internet, etc. So if you have any friends at Lions Gate, send them my way!

As far as I know, both of Front Sight's training facilities -- Nevada and Alaska -- are going strong.
And they gave me a heck of a wonderful back lot and technical support for shooting an action movie!

Glad to see you here, btw. I wrote a review for one of your books a while back.

Neil is a stand up guy. I've reviewed some of his books as well. He not only has lovely plots, but a great sense of humor. Did I mention that he is brilliant?
Full disclosure: I have met Neil, but I am not related, and we never dated.
