Didn't Congress shield the gun industry from lawsuits like this last year?

The law is being challenged, so NYC feels compelled to waste its money.

300 guns / 9 years = 33.3 per year / 12 dealers = 2.78 guns per dealer, per year.

Now I'm gonna take a wild ass guess that these dealers sold HUNDREDS of guns a year, and Thousands over the nine years.

In short, go piss up a rope Bloomie (legal term).

What a gross abuse of power. Words can't express my feelings on this travesty.

Well, two of my dealers have come under attack from Bloombutt. One shut himself down rather than submit, and the other is named in this article. Guess I've gotta find another.

The city sued 12 gun dealers in five states for allegedly selling weapons that were traced to crimes committed in New York.

Sounds like some gun dealers need to countersue for defamation of character or some other silliness.

"Shouldn't the private investigators and Bloomberg be prosecuted for committing a crime in making a straw purchase?"

My question, too.

The attorney general of one of these states should go "ham sandwich" and indict Bloomberg for violating 30 or 40 state laws, swear out warrants, send a heavily armed undercover police unit (battalion size) in the middle of the night into New York City to arrest him and bring him back to face justice.

Stories like this only serve to remind me of all the grief I take from New York Freepers for even suggesting that New York City is a f#&%ing police state.

With all due respect to Mr. Giuliani, they also serve to remind me of why no @sshole from New York is ever going to be elected president anytime soon.

I can't believe this man is actually a Republican. He needs to claim what he is: a communist.

Your Honor,

Your priorities are all messed up. You should have sued the car dealers who sold the cars (when they were new) that were later used in DUI-related vehicle deaths. Obviously, dealers know that such use is a posibility before they make a sale. Besides, the number of deaths is much higher, and car dealers have much deeper pockets.

Since New York is now in the business of suing legal business owners for their legal transactions, why limit yourself to the gun dealers? I'm sure you can find lots more profitable criminal activity to slam businesses with.

Sincerely,
A Conservative US Citizen

So NYC Cops can run sting operations anywhere in the country?

Absolutely. Haven't you heard? The government of NYC has annointed itself as our new Federal Government.

Starting next year you'll be paying taxes to them instead of Washington.

Umm...

Dictator-wannabe? Sure.

Fascist? Maybe.

Communist? What he's doing doesn't have anything to do with communism. You should read up on the word.

I'm a RKBA guy all the way and I think NYC gun laws and Bloomburg are BS but it sounds as if these dealers violated federal laws.

You cant just drive to TX from NYC and buy a gun from a licensed dealer

I propose we start suing Crow Bar manufacturers too for loss of personal property when people MISUSE crow bars- sue the makers for deaths caused by crow bar- go after baseball bats makers- sue them too for deaths caused by bats- Chain makers- Frying pan makers- Rolling pin makers- ice pick makers- Chemical makers- famers who don't secure their castor bean plants- Auto makers- nylon makers- rope makers (garrotes)- fingernail file makers- swimming pool makers- toothbrush makers- pencil makers- pen makers- screw driver makers- hammer makers- shovel makers-

You get hte picture- all deadly weapons when MISUSED BY CRIMINALS http://sacredscoop.com

The SOB deserves that. Mostly because you know the creep wouldn't hesistate to send the NYC police after someone in another state.

Bloomberg is further left than Rudy. Bloomberg openly endorsed John Kerry and also wants a total pullout of US troops from Iraq.

Why not? I've bought firearms in states with instant background check and walked out with them and no problem. My home state has no right whatsoever dictating what I can and cannot buy when I am visiting another state. If my purchase is legal in, say, Texas, then it is NONE of my home state's business. New York City is openly violating the sovereignty of the states where it is sending agents (private investigators would be agents of the city...or perhaps they should best be called mercenaries) and those states should take swift and severe action against Bloomberg to prevent a precedent. Were I a citizen of a state where NYC mercenaries are operating I'd DEMAND that my state put an end to that nonsense IMMEDIATELY.
