Obviously they're in it only -- only -- for the money. The director also directed the vulgar "Thirteen," and the girl playing Mary is an unchaste pregant-by-her-boyfriend actress.

Call me cynical.

Sounds like a movie I may like to see and will if I have a chance. If I don't, I won't. Whether or not Hollywood ever makes another movie of any sort is completely irrelevant. To paraphrase an old song "They Think I Still Care"

I'd just like to point out that Mel Gibson did a great job of pre-selling his movie to his selected target audience. By the time it came out, there probably wasn't a person in the U.S. that hadn't heard about his movie. By contrast, I never heard about this new movie until about a week before it came out. Perhaps the producer should look at herself and see if she could have done a better job publicizing her movie.

I think also some people are waiting to get a little closer to Christmas. My church is going the 18th.

Marty Bowen, producer of The Nativity Story which came in fourth in the weekend box office in the United States, is concerned that Hollywood will not make anymore religious films unless Christians now go and see the movie in large numbers.

Gosh, nothing in the Bible about lying in order to shamelessly pimp your film, eh buddy?

Hollywood makes many religious films - they're just of an anti-Christian religion. Maybe it's time for someplace aside from Hollywood to make 'religious' films.

Am very hungry for serious religious movies. According to the review I read on The Nativity, it falls somewhere on the spectrum between secular and Protestant viewpoint. Not interested. Someone serious about scripture and good movie-making, please give it a go. Thanks.

Hollyweird was not going to make any movies regardless.

They still refuse to acknowledge "The Passion" made any money or that anyone went to see it.

Who gives a cr@p what Hollyweird does? They're much more likely to screw up a religious movie than make a good one.

Go see this movie because it's good--not because Hollyweird might not make any more. It would be a blessing if they didn't!

That's like saying that Hollywood would never make another movie with Dustin Hoffman because folks didn't go see Ishtar.

I may not go see Nativity story but I most likely will not see any of the other movies either. Why should I support the radical rats. They hate Christians.

That reminds me of the cover of a National Lampoon magazine many years ago:

"BUY THIS MAGAZINE OR WE'LL SHOOT THIS DOG."

On the cover was a cute pooch with a gun to his head.

This movie will be a moneymaker as it gets closer to Christmas. A no brainer.

I am very much looking forward to it. If it's really good, I may go twice.
