Bttt! me too.
Fox News' website is reporting that he is dead and his body has been found: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,234880,00.html
The wife said he was wearing two pairs of pants. Rescuers found one pair.
At that link, it states they don't know his condition.
Claudia Cowen (sp?) said she would NOT confirm that to Trace (newsreader on Fox).
Hypothermia. Likely died days ago. Very few people could have survived.
Me, too. At this point I'm praying for a coma!
I hope he's alive too so he can realize that his family was rescued.
"One doesn't live long in snow without pants."
If they were wet and then froze, it might make some amount of sense to shed them, especially in what has to be a disorienting state, near hypothermia.
No where in that story did it say that Kim was dead.
He could VERY WELL be in a coma! Just praying my heart out here. This story really got to me.
From what they are saying today, he had on a LOT of clothes......even a girl's skirt????
Do you know that for a fact?
ping. (for Bay Area pinglist).
I was hiking once high up in the White Mountains and a freezing cloud came in. It had been sunny and warm where I started but we had gone too far and I wasn't dressed warmly enough. After my body temperature had dropped to the point where I could barely move, I became completely irrational and began to fight the guy who was with me when he insisted that I stay on the trail. He was bigger and more warmly dressed than I was and he was simply cold but had not gone all the way to hypothermia. He virtually dragged me down the mountain and I was apparently fighting all the way.
I think Kim had also probably not eaten for a few days, which makes it even worse. Poor man, but he died heroically while trying to save his family. Prayers for all of them.
I hope he's ok. A very sad story.
Thanks - it's really not looking good. I'm crushed.
