With the 2008 presidential field taking shape, the striking thing is how little excitement most of the possible candidates are likely to evoke.
There are the polarizing figures: Hillary Rodham Clinton, Rudy Giuliani and Newt Gingrich. There are the candidates who've been here before, such as Sens. Joe Biden, John McCain and John Kerry. There are the little-known politicians whose best hope may be the second spot on the ticket, like Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack and former New York Gov. George Pataki. There are the capital veterans, including Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.) and Sen. Christopher Dodd (D-Conn.), whose importance inside the Beltway may make them imagine they have electoral strength beyond it.

By the Tribune, iirc.
Two years ago this empty suit was an Illinois state legislator...and already he's qualified to be President?
Don't ever think, that Osama-Obama is going to be the one who will smoke out Herself, the Cold and Joyless, on ANY position.
Her strength lies in the concealment of any serious examination of whatever it is that Herself, the Cold and Joyless, holds to be an eternal truth.
Including the ever-important Gonad Lock-Box. Osama-Obama has already been advised of its existence.
What has he ever done? What are his accomplishments?
If Mr. Obama runs, I'm running. I've got just as much experience as he does.
I see the Trib is still a mite myopic. Obama is a garden variety liberal. Nothing more, nothing less. Another Christian who believes in letting mothers end their babies lives. Yeah, Mr. Obama will really be able to bring people together.
I hate this mushy writing about politics. Governing is about leading, not forming a consensus.
Of course it's ridiculous, but this Obamamania lowers the bar and makes someone else look like a serious candidate.
Not Hillary. Someone who gives a better speech than Clinton or Obama; who's prettier; who isn't a woman or black; whose name is suffused with presidential associations and manly consonants.
John Edwards.
Do I hear laughter? Snickering?
Now taking bets.
They left out his first name, "Rock Star".
Why have a fake negro when you can vote for the real thing-- Al Sharpton?
The MSM is pushing Obama right now, because in contrast, he makes Hillary look extremely qualified.
Can anyone name a significant accomplishment that either Barat Obama or Hillarious have accomplished?
Who's to say he isn't the Jr. Hitler of Irans long lost jihad brother? No way no how he wins even one primary. Look who votes in the Iowa caucus, NH Primary and South Carolina primary. He's a non starter.
Man, Im getting sick of this guy. What legislation has he authored? What committees has he headed up? What the hell has he done??
Why not, he has no experience, but he does play a stateman on TV. That ought to be more than enough.
But, "Barack" is his first name.
Nonetheless, we're smellin' what you're steppin' in, Rhet! ;O)

He's worse than the MSM will ever tell us.
...and/or the very obese and full of pigeon droppings Senator Christopher Dodd.
I know who votes in the Iowa caucus, which is why I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him do quite well here.
