I'm going to be on Larry King Live tonight to give one side of a Military Families perspective on this tonight. If you have someone serving in Iraq just let me know what you think.

My son just came back. Not sure if I count or not. But here is my 2-cents anyway :-)
Like most parents of deployed soldiers, especially those in combat units like my son is, I want the fighting to stop. But I also want the mission to be accomplished. Whatever will accomplish those two goals in the quickest amount of time, I am in favor of. I don't care if Bush has to eat crow to make it happen or not. Looks like Bush is willing to look at changing things. I like the fact Rumsfeld is gone, that will hasten the change, I hope.
As far as the ISG report is concerned. I don't like negotiating with Iran over anything right now. They are directly responsible for a number of my son's friends being injured in Iraq and if they had their way, my son would be dead now. The sooner we deal with that threat the better all around. From what I can tell, the rest of the recommendations are already, more or less, being implemented now.
More trainers would be a good thing.
Embedding combat units with Iraqi units is chancy since we can't trust all Iraqi units and we don't know who might get their throats cut while they sleep. My son was stationed at a IP station in Baqubah and he slept with his 9mm next to him at night because he didn't trust being there.
From what I heard from the new to be SECDEF was OK but actions speak louder than words. We will see how he performs.
