"Kristol says that the word "victory" doesn't appear, and the report isn't serious."

Kristol gets it right. This is a big non-event. The real battle is between the President and a Congress controlled by Democrats.

Retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor developed a reputation for asking the best questions. Democratic power broker Vernon Jordan emerged as the group's political sage. Clinton defense chief William Perry cornered the military options -- and would be a holdout on the final deal.

Just remember, OUR president is a man of God and he reminds us of that every time he speaks...

And with that in mind, remember this verse...

PSALM 91:1-16
"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust. Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence.

He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your habitation, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.

They shall bear you up in their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation."

"I am going to grow vegetables instead of just flowers, review canning and freezing, and get ready for a lot of REALLY hard times."

Sounds like a plan to me.

Hard times indeed.

If we leave Iraq, Iran will take over and dominate the region.

Just using oil as a weapon they will be able to destroy our economy.

Did you hear what O'Connor just said?

You mean about the media getting behind the report to sell it to the American people.

No, you haven't lost your mind, the Arabists have been saying since last summer if Israel would just give back the Golan Heights... if Israel will just pull back here and there....etc....

And if we just address the legitimate security concerns of Germany and give the Sudentenland to them, we will have peace in our time.

Gawd, how did people both this deranged and this utterly oblivious to history achieve such positions of power?

I really like Bill and Edie, I think this was a good move for the morning lineup on Fox.

And it was his groups immoral policy of "containment" of Saddam and Sons, that consigned millions to tyranny for decades.

What you find "insightful" is nothing but overheated rhetoric. And the FACT is that you do not understand the nature of the fight in Iraq.

The left in this country and MSM are the ones who have divided us, not the President. However, President Bush ( and I have been one of his biggest fans) is going to have to make it appear he is trying to bring the country together, also he will stand up for the mititary first!

I believe in President Bush and I do see this could change his legacy. He is up for the challenge!

I am going to grow vegetables instead of just flowers,

My wife and I were talking about that just last night, given the state of affairs.

Be sure to buy heirloom seeds - they will produce viable seeds for the next season and are much hardier.

I grow tired of this system. It is too short sighted and self serving (self serving of the politicians that is)

We need consistancy, morality and strength. Elections yes, but perhaps not so often. An elected house yes, but balanced by a smaller house of trusted experts who do not have to waste their energies seeking re-election by people who do not understand the issues.
