Honestly, now that I think about it, it makes sense that someone like O'Connor would think they know jack about war. Look at O'Connor's record on the Court and the kind of liberal activism she supported, especially towards the end of her tenure. She's a power-loving maniac.

But other than providing media orgasm nothing has been suggested of any value or difference.

Hundreds of people served on the Commission. If you mean that it's a sham if any Clinton people are on it, that's not relevant in my mind. If they are one of hundreds, and if all involved are willing to sign on the report, you cannot blame or credit the results to a Clinton appointee or any other individual.
(MM, I'm including you in my post because you made a comment re: Panetta. But I'm replying to sageb1.)

The MONEY part of the ISG CREATION:
The panel's work is being facilitated by the U.S. Institute of Peace and supported by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), the Center for the Study of the Presidency (CSP), and the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy. It was expected to receive a US$1.3 million appropriation from Congress.

Is anyone on the panel under 80? Why not a more diverse group? I noticed the same thing. Just because a person is 80+ does not make him/her wise. Look at Jimmah Carter for example.

I'm seriously considering going to Australia. I'm sad/happy to say I'm retiring to the Philippines. Other governments are just as or more corrupt, but it hurts to see MY government turned into a third world government.

This is a black, black day for our country. We'll survive, in fact we'll prosper. Be glad you're not Kurdish or Lebanese. Dare I say Iraqi?

Well, I was only looking at Panetta individually. I'm not thrilled with O'Connor or Simpson, either.

You give O'Connor more credit than she is due. She is telling the MSM to continue the same drumbeat that has led us to the situation we are in right now, imo.
