I'm guessing O'Connor is there for the "International Law" perspective.

Good thing there wasn't a Hitler Study Group...I've thought the same. Good thing we didn't have the UN during WW2 either. The current state of "dipolmacy" and foreign policy is that war's should end in stalemates, not in victories.

you first have to determine who screwed the pooch in the first place, and the power structure can't allow that now, can they? And there you have it: what we are seeing is the REAL "power structure" in D.C.; pay attention to who it is; it is NOT the president of this country.
And therein lies the answer to why Bush never could get very much done.

She was truly Ronald Reagan's greatest mistake. May he rest in peace.

The Kurds aren't strong enough to stand up to the Turkish Army.
I'm assuming we'd keep bases in Kurdistan...

Hamilton: a change in the primary mission from combat to training.Isn't this what has been happening since "major combat operations are over?"
Where is the MSM reporting that another entire area of Iraq has been turned over to an Iraqi division today? Oh, that's not bad news. grrr

Our enemies must be laughing their a$$es off right now.
I can't believe our military strategy has been reduced to a dog and pony show.
To: Miss Marple
I don't like commissions. However, I may be the only one, if so, so be it, that is not swept up in the anguished, angry reaction to this. I am glad more than ever that President Bush keeps his cool and doesn't spout off and jerk our policy all over the place in REACTION to stuff. Stuff, happens!

Did you notice how the first two women questioners tried to immediately get one of them to say that Bush HAD to take these recommendatons?
