I am with you. Since the New York Times has already said he is crazy and a lame duck, what does he have to lose?
Oh, good, now a question from the Washington Post. Apparently the reporter thinks the media should get their 2 centsin as well.

Hamilton is already so compromised it isn't even funny. He helped set the table for this with the 9/11 group now he is serving the main course.

Having James Baker on the Iraq Study Group is like having Jamie Goerlick on the 9-11 Commission - both were deeply complict in creating the problems they are now supposedly trying to solve.
Which means this country simply is not serious about dealing with issues any longer and would rather engage in deceptions to the public that something is being done - because to do something, you first have to determine who screwed the pooch in the first place, and the power structure can't allow that now, can they?

The Iraq Study Group Brought to you by the people who failed to prevent the run-up to 9-11. Maybe if they had actually done something, we would not be at war on terror.Great observation.

Exactly! Get the handcuffs off our troops & let them do their job! They could get it all done in 72 hours if you just got rid of the journalists (see my tagline) and let them loose.

Howlin.........The same sickening feeling I had in the pit of my stomach back in 74-75 is back. I can't believe OUR nation is doing this again.
It is beyond belief that we have just TOLD OUR ENEMY that we are LOSING, that we want to negotiate with KNOWN terrorist states, in essence that we are surrendering!!
This is absolutely devastating!

Baker wants a new political consensus. What the hell does this mean? He wants everyone to agree with him ???
Says he didn't want people to think this study was political

How in the heck does Sandra Day O'Connor (I won't refer to her anymore as Justice) claim to have any knowledge of how a war should be operated?

I am astounded that this report and in particular Baker whom I thought was a Bush person is saying this. Our country has lost it's will to fight and I mean fight with power! No wonder Rummy stepped down. I predict if our President goes along with this dung that we are in deep trouble--next immigration--and civil discourse in our own country.
To: Howlin
Has anyone on this commission actually been to Iraq recently?
To: Howlin
Is it me, or does anyone else feel like we're in the friggin' twilight zone?
What has our government come to? Our media? Our country?
This is pathetic and scary.

I hope you realize I was being sarcastic.
Oh, Baker says this is NOT legislation or an executive order. That's good.

We can and should make them strong enough.
The Turks made their choice to be with us or against us. They chose to be against us.
