President Bush On Fox News

I hope some had an opportunity to view Brit Hume's interview with the President. A genuine, great man is in our midst. A person of principle who does his best to implement what he believes to be right.

His detractors in and out of the MSM just do not understand him, his faith and those of us who support both him and his administration.

> I am proud of him, still support him

As do I.

The boss isn't always right, but he his always the boss.

Sometimes, the boss is right, and I am wrong.

I would prefer a leader to a wheather vane.

The Press would prefer a wheather vane, because they believe, for now, that they can control which way the wind blows.

I will work to change that.

FReegards.

Thank you both for your comments. I am glad to know I am not alone.

My grandson (now 10) KNOWS I am a Bush Republican. So is he. He got his letter printed in the school newspaper supporting Bush over Kerry. HA!

I want to make sure they understand. They may not agree with me, but I want them to know the facts, and how the media distored things and the democrats obstructed everything.

Bush has had some accomplishemnts. I support his tax cuts, judicial choices and foreign policy agenda since 9-11. As I indicated in my post, my concern is over Bush`s domestic policy agenda. Its not driven by conservative policy, but rather by a centrist agenda based on the status quo. I happen to support his overall strategy in the WOT. Although I'm not convinced the current tactics in Iraq will be successful long term. Bush was handed a sound economy and so far, he hasn't done anything to screw it up. So he gets some credit for that.

That isn't the issue. Saying that a sitting POTUS, will one day be considered a great POTUS, is overstepping the bounds of legitimacy, into pure fallacy. Makes Dubya sound like a cult figure. The only who might have warranted such an historic label before leaving office, would have been George Washington. IMHO, of course.

Great presidents don't just try. They succeed. Is Bush a success perfect? No.

There, I fixed it. Perfect? No. Successful? Yes in many ways, but most importantly in protecting our country from further attacks.

Maybe not forever, but up to this moment he is perfect.

I saw much of it and I, too, am proud of him. He was upbeat, enthusiastic and steadfast.

But, I think there will be a hullabaloo about how the job is so much lighter because of all the people praying from him.

Your not alone and my belief is a pragmatic one.

George Bush will one day be seen as in the top tier of presidents

Agreed. At times I think the MSM is a bigger foe to him than the terrorists. He is a man of integrity, and will go down in history as one of the greats.

I missed it. But if you saw President Bush and Brit Hume, you saw two great men!

I saw it and liked it.

My support, honor and respect for this Great President has NEVER wavered and never will.

He could have done so much more for us, if the traitors could have been controlled.

God Bless this man we call.....President Bush.

I do think Bush has protected us from other attacks, but he should have taken out Iran's nuclear capability by now. He should also have prevented Chavez from taking power. He's also failed miserably with our borders and has botched Iraq. Homeland security isn't nearly tight enough, and we will be hit very hard, worse than 9-11, in the next few years -- though the terrorists might delay that until after the '08 election, to maximize the Rat candidate's chances.

BS? That is my honest opinion, as it is that of many others. You disagree, of course, but I would never characterize YOUR opinion as "BS."

Plus, it is vulgar.

Yes, a good deal what passes for thinking is really a form of emoting. Mark Twain had this down 100 years ago:

Mark Twain Quote on Public Opinion: "We all do no end of feeling and we mistake it for thinking. And out of it we get an aggregation, which we consider a boon. Its name is public opinion. It is held in reverence. It settles everything. Some think it is the voice of God."

As time goes on people will evaluate the President on what he has actually accomplished and not on how they feel about this or that. When this occurs we will have a historical not a journalistic opinion.

> You are HIS boss!

True, but in a republic, he has that power that I have given him, until I, or we, choose to take it away.

The one thing that we have learned, is that can happen without everyone shooting each other.

The President believes that other people can learn this as well.

Some of them will, some of them won't.

>>>>That is my honest opinion...

Right. And anyone who chooses to disagree with you, is vulgar. I don't know which is more revolting. Your royal indignation, or your thin skin attitude.

You can't just say, Bush is a good President and leave the rest up to history. No, not you. To you and some others, Dubya is a god. He walks on water. LOL Bush just drove the GOP over the political clift, and the GOP will be lucky to survive the next two years. Yet, greatness is Bush`s final place in history. Silly stuff.
