President Bush On Fox News

I hope some had an opportunity to view Brit Hume's interview with the President. A genuine, great man is in our midst. A person of principle who does his best to implement what he believes to be right.

His detractors in and out of the MSM just do not understand him, his faith and those of us who support both him and his administration.

I saw it, and you are right. I am proud of him, still support him, and believe that one day he will be seen as one of the greatest presidents.

You and I completely agree on this issue. He is, and will be remembered as, one of our great Presidents. My tagline says why.

President Bush...a man for the ages.

It's not easy reshaping the Mid-East amidst snipes from left and right.

But the President will do it, God bless him.

He will be remembered as a great, courageous and sincere President...in spite of bitter, prematurely judgmental idiots like Douglas Brinkley and so many in the media, Hollywood etc. I hope they re-play the interview, we missed it.

I am confident in our position. People need to be praying that the next president is half as good as this one.

Come on now.

Even when Ronald Reagan was sitting in the Oval Office, no one said he would be a great President someday. Now you're anointing GW Bush as a great President, and his term isn't even over with. That is infatuation of the highest order. Bush just drove the GOP over the edge, and you say he's a great President. Wow.

I commend him for trying to defend us from the evil islamic threat. And for Tax cuts. And for two excellent SC appointments.

I have been disappointed by his uneven political performance. Frist, spending, medidrugs giveaway, immigration, Meirs, execution of post invasion Iraq being the dowsiders.

And your opinion should matter to me for what reason?

I thought Reagan was a great president while he was still in office. I thought so when he left office, and think so today.

George Bush will one day be seen as in the top tier of presidents. Those who don't see it are free to have their opinions. I have mine, and am writing a story of these years to pass on to my grandchildren. I want to make sure that they get the truth.

Great presidents don't just try. They succeed. Is Bush a success? No.

A bit of temperence is always wlecome. You are correct in your assessment. I am inclined to think that not only will W not be remembered as a great president, he will go down as one of the worst. My worry is that the situation in the middle east will deteriorate and the U.S. will take the brunt of the blame. He would not be alone in the undeserved role of historic pariah due to his unwavering pursuit of the correct course. U.S. Grant deserves to be ranked as one of the greatest as well but history has not been kind to him either for many of the same reasons that I believe it will not be kind to W.

I couldn't care less about what matters to you, or what doesn't matter to you. Just pointing out the absurdity and fallacy of your latest post. Once again, you're attempting to use the superior leadership, conservative governing record and great legacy of Pres Reagan, to make Bush`s failures seem more acceptable. At this point in time greatness and Pres Bush43, have nothing in common. I just hope Bush doesn't do anymore damage on the domestic policy agenda over the next two years. That might be asking for too much. Next year Bush will sign amnesty and a path to citizenship for 15 million illegals into law. The 1986 IRCA was doomed to failure. Bush wants to ignore history and make the same mistake all over again. Downside legacy.

"I have mine, and am writing a story of these years to pass on to my grandchildren. I want to make sure that they get the truth."

WOW, what a great idea MM.

I'd give anything if I could read, or hear, my grandparents' thoughts on WWII. Both of them sent boys to war, worried about them, etc. They also lived through the Great Depression, WWI, and so much more.

While I was close to one grandpa and one grandma, and was able to discuss with them some of their views, I was too young when I lost all my grandparents to really get a chance to understand the challenges they faced in their lifetimes.

Being an aspiring journalist, I did approach one grandpa (my last living grandparent) when I was in my early 20s and tried to interview him, but, being an old hillbilly, he hushed up and wouldn't talk any more.

I even tried hiding my big bulky tape player under his chair, but he was wise to me. My 80 year old Mother to this day won't leave a message on telephone recording.

I have an aunt living now who is 93, and I visit her often, and make a point to get her views, wisdom and memories.

She said she called my Mom once and the pre-recorded "Please leave a message" on Mom's machine scared her to death. She thought Mama "had a man."

Since I agree w Miss Marple on this one I will respond.

It is my belief and observation that an unrestrained, often treasonous, media establishment, in league with our enemies foreign and domestic, were able, over time. to convince a narrow majority of our citizens to vote in favor of the party endorsed by those sworn to kill us all.

The liars were relentlessly effective. How else to explain dismissing the best economy in the history of earth, accomplished post 9/11 and in spite of fierce opposition from those who would rather see failure than success in order for their own narrow ambitions to be realized.

This President has persisted in his gracious, optimistic and courageous manner while hamstrung by do-nothing rino's, hate-America dims and, finally, all-or-nothing conservatives whose unwillingness to understand and implement the left's tactics of incrementalism have delivered us all into the hands of those who truly believe America has "too much power".

I am amazed he has accomplished so much, given the burdens he has carried.

Time will tell I guess.

Yes, I agree. Something is drastically wrong with the view some have of the President. Perhaps the following quote explains it:

Cicero said: "A nation can survive its fools and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly against the city. But the traitor moves among those within the gates freely, his sly whispers rustling through all alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears no traitor; he speaks in the accents familiar to his victim, and he wears their face and their garments and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation; he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city; he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared. The traitor is the plague."
