VIDEO: 'You're a racist and anti-Semite,' one caller shouted at Carter during C-SPAN2 broadcast... Developing...
Quick...contact Gloria Allred and maybe she can rustle up a retired judge to determine how much money Mr. Carter owes you for the damage done!
No just a stupid peanut farmer with a dead alcoholic brother who hates America and wants to fellate Arabs.
Brian Lamb has prohibited the use of tape delay on Washington Journal for 25 years. But BookTV is often recorded, so it's surprising this got through.
Another of his rules is that the names of C-SPAN program hosts are not to be mentioned by the network, because Lamb doesn't want C-SPAN to have "personalities". So the names "Brian Lamb" and "Susan Swain" haven't been mentioned during any broadcast in 25 years (unless by callers or guests). Has it worked?
How many people know that Washington Journal's Thursday host Susan Swain is the second-in-command, executive VP of C-SPAN and has been there almost as long as Brian Lamb?
bttt
"Of all the men the MSM touts as a "born again Christian" - the man I think of who least behaves like one is Jimmy Carter.
He is vindictive, hates Israel, and defends those who murder innocent children in the womb.
I'll leave his salvation to God, but I don't see the fruit of the Holy Spirit in James Earl Carter at all."
Yup

Carter was much worse than Clinton..and he's Nixon's gift that keeps on giving.
Hahahah....Ya you dont hear to much about folks not liking President Lincoln....Hell he is even GWB's favorite President
All good points, but didn't Ford set in motion the canal giveaway?
Bingo.....crazy thing is Ford almost came back and won that race in 1976, almost sparing the country Carter...oh well, Ford would have been far better than Carter, Ford was probabaly a better man than any other President in the 20th century, that being said, he was a Ford, not a Lincoln..
To Barry Goldwater's lasting annoyance
States don't have rights; they have powers. People have rights.
Cordially,
"..President Jimmy Carter once used the phrase (to his regret) in a reply to a question from an African-American also surnamed "Carter."
To paraphrase the encounter:
The man asked, "My name's 'Carter' and your name is 'Carter.' How come we're not related." To which the President responded, "Lot's of Georgia families have a ni**** in the woodpile.".."
I remember, and I may be mistaken, after losing his first race of Georgia Governor Carter bitterly complained of his opponents campaign tactics that it was, N-word this and Nword that. It was a long time ago. This was before all the technology that makes this impossible to get away with today..no camera phones etc.
"Carter was much worse than Clinton..and he's Nixon's gift that keeps on giving."
Carter was probably the most horrific president this country has ever seen. Today as a nation we are still trying to repair the damage that this Communist coward inflicted on the U.S. decades ago. The day this stupid Stalinist dies is the day I will do my happy dance by my computer.
Slack-jawed silence until the moderator intervened and cut the caller off.
You don't know if he's anti-Semite? He abnsolutely is one! He has doen more to harm BOTH the U.S and Israel than perhaps anyone in public speaking arena- the blood of murdered Jews is thick on his hands! http://sacredscoop.com
Then please explain why 4 slave-holding states, plus the cunk of land that later came to be West Virginia, fought for the north? Not to mention that the Emancipation Proclamation DID NOT FREE SLAVES IN THE NORTH, only those in the parts of the south that were still not conquered. In other words, the Emancipation Proclamation did not free any slaves at all. If ending slavery was the goal of the war, then why didn't Lincoln free northern slaves?
Slavery is a horrible blemish on the whole country (remember that New York allowed slavery until almost 1840) and I regret that my ancestors owned slaves. However, the war was more complex than just being about slavery. Slavery was probably the biggest issue, but if it weren't for unfair tariffs, the war would have probably never happened. Slavery was on the decline -- and it just happened to decline first in the north. Anti-slavery sentiment was growing in the south, especially Virginia, by the time the war started. It probably would have died out in the whole country by 1875.
Note also that South Carolina came to the brink of secession in the 1830s, and the cause was unfair tariffs rather than slavery, which wasn't much of an issue in the north at the time.
