ATLANTA -- The wife of a Georgia legislator known as an outspoken advocate for immigration rights is in hiding after federal agents came to their home with a deportation order, her lawyer said.
Sascha Herrera, the wife of Democratic state Sen. Curt Thompson, was ordered deported after she missed a federal court hearing in February 2005, her lawyer Charles Kuck said.
Kuck said he plans to ask an immigration judge Monday to reconsider the order calling for her deportation, though it could take as long as a month before a decision is made. During that time, Kuck said Herrera could be deported if she's caught....

This is crazy, here is the legal situation.
The US citizen applies for the immigrant spouse. They have an interview with establishes the ligitimacy of the marriage. Why they would miss the interview is pure insanity.
Also if they moved, it is the APPLICANT HUSBAND'S responsibility to file a change of address form either directly or through his attorney.
This all sounds like a bunch of baloney. He is a state senator and he doesn't know the difference between an abragado and a notary. Sure.
Well now he is a demorat and lives in Ga. and bought himself a mexican, when you have all those beautiful Russian women all over mail order bride site's.

And now, this elected offical, is in the position of "hiding" an illegal alien until her appeals are done.
A 28 year old student visa? Sounds like she was working the system just to find her way into the USA.
