Kerry to postpone decision on '08 run
Boston Globe ^ | December 2, 2006 | Rick Klein

Associates say 'joke' fallout stunned him

-- Senator John F. Kerry's election-eve "botched joke" about the war in Iraq -- and the fierce denunciations his comments drew from fellow Democrats -- has led him to reevaluate whether to mount a run for the presidency in 2008 and has led him to delay an announcement about his decision, according to Kerry associates.

The Massachusetts Democrat is now leaning toward waiting until late spring before declaring his intentions, even as other candidates jump into the race and begin building organizing and fund-raising teams in early-primary states. Before the joke derailed his comeback, Kerry had signaled that he would decide whether to run by the end of January.

This will give him time to take some lessons from Kramer on the proper way to deliver a joke.

Kerry running, with Gore as his running mate for VP. It would be one of the easiest Republican victories in the history of American presidential elections.

Not if the Republicans pull a Dole and run with McCain - Graham.

John Kerry must never listen to himself talk. He should sit in a dark room, turn on a few of his interviews & campaign talks and listen carefully. I was born and brought up in Massachusetts. The way John Kerry talks and acts is not normal. He is an airheaded, condescending, imperious fop. He thinks he is above everyone. It comes across every time he speaks in public.

Kerry is like the circus clown who keeps interrupting other acts. He's just there for the laughs.

It is frightening; and even more frightening that the races were close.

And do you see anything better in the possibilities they have now for '08?

Obama might be a little smoother, but he has major baggage.

It wasn't a joke! That is why the reaction was the way it was. It seems like this clueless anti-military ass finally figuered out that he is done nationwide. Stay in Mass and the Senate for a million years like Uncle Teddy.

All Kerry knows how to do is insult people. First he insulted the troops. Then he insulted the intelligence of eveyone who knew that what he said was what he really thought.

"And to think this was the best presidential candidate the Democrats could come up with for 2004"

What's even more frightening is that he ALMOST won.

History is against old Jihad Johnny. The Democrats learned their lesson about re-nominating LOSERS again after failing three times with William Jennings Bryan.

Since then, they've never given the nomination to someone who blew it last time around.

Phillip Johnston is another Massachusetts moonbat.

Consider this....he actually won the democrat primary but a JUDGE ruled against him concerning some disputed votes.

The result was that we got William Delahunt as a Congressman.

Delahunt is one of the dumbest (I think the dumbest) people in the Mass. delegation, but believe it or not, he was the better candidate. Johnston is scary.

I was in China when the Joke make his joke. This blunder was so big it made the news papers in China. What a putz.

Just remember, our dullard beat the dems best and brightest in 2004. Let's hope the submit and equally intelligent and savvy person in 2008.

The other night on CSPAN the serpenthead (James Carville) was addressing a group of 'rats about the 2008 election. He ran down a substantial list of possible nominees, both GOP and Rat, and gave a plausible analysis of the shape of the upcoming battlefield. Notable was the total absence of Kerry's name among even the darkhorse list of possible rat candidates. Carville talked about Vilsack, for gods sake but John Kerry was a nonperson. The 'rats...carrying on in the grand Stalinist tradition.

memo to Kerry--throw in the towel and go snowboarding, douchebag.
