Many people are not aware a registered sex offender maybe living in their neighborhood. Recently a local radio station in my area referred its listners to FamilyWatchdog. Many were shocked to find the number of sex offenders living nearby. I couldn't help but think this is also true for people nationwide. Consequently I am providing the link to Freepers. Just enter your street address, city, state and zipcode in the windows provided at the homepage then click search. A map will appear showing where registered sex offenders live and work near you. There is a map legend to help you interpret the symbols. There are many other features at the website too numerous to mention. I'll let you discover them on your own. Please be aware your state may have laws preventing anyone from harassing registered sex offenders but by knowing where they live we can hopefully keep everyone's kids safe!

This is a better site
Thanks--will check it out.

I live in a small town and I already know who most of them are already, that is why I recognized that the majority of them weren't on this site.
They can't stop a verbal campaign as long as you don't slander them. It's good to take the lead in your neighborhood, you may get elected Neighborhood Watch Block Captain! ;o)
I find it interesting how many of these threads you show up on defending sex offenders, decrying laws to notify others of them, and decrying punishment for them. It's very curious!
Most states have their own database. Those of you in South Carolina can find the registered sex offenders near you by visiting the State Law Enforcement Division's website (sorry I don't have a link to it).
I find it interesting that you are willing to make an exception to both the Due Process and Equal Protection Clauses of the U.S. Constitution in order to single out a particular type of criminal and subject them to a unique brand of justice. Hell, a paroled murderer has more freedom and more rights than a "sex offender" (whatever that means).
But you're willing to turn the U.S. Constitution into toilet paper because these perverts deserve it, right? Let's ruin the life of that 18-year-old boy who "inappropriately touched" a 14-year-old girl. Or the man accused of date rape because the whore girlfriend changed her mind half-way through sex.
I used to know what a rapist was. I used to know what a child molester was. Today, the definition is so broad I don't have a clue what those terms mean anymore.
You and your ilk cheapen true rape by calling everything rape. The real child molester is lost among all the "sex offenders". We're all becoming numb to the name-calling by your crowd.
Unlike you, I save my anger for the real bad guys, not every Tom, Dick, and Harry who cross some arbitrary and shifting behavioral line you've drawn.
"Registered Sex Offenders in the Area"
Dude! What'd you do?
I bet you think everyone is. Or should be.
What part of illegal dont you understand. The solution is simple. Keep your hands, and all parts of your body, off anyone under the age of 18; that goes for men and women.
Defend:
To support against arguments, attack, or criticism: justify. Idioms: speak up for, stand up for, stick up for.
Try it one time and I'll have you off this forum so fast you'll wonder what happened.
You have no argument so you resort to speculation about my personal life and name calling. You're a lightweight and out of your league. Go play elsewhere.
The parts that call certain behavior illegal.
"Keep your hands, and all parts of your body ..."
You care to rephrase that?
No I would not care to rephrase it. I said what I meant and meant what I said.
